We're going to have to make a few changes for Everton I reckon.

Whilst I'd like a good cup run, I'm all for it, the injury situation has to taken into consideration now.

Sunday will be Everton's cup final, with the scallys talking up most of the Annie road end. For me, the league game against Sheffield United has to take priority.

100% play the kids. They’ll batter Everton anyway.

I don't know how you can say the kids would better Everton. Have you forgotten Aston Villa already.

Absolutely. Can see Origi, Takumi and maybe Elliot all starting. Cue cries from elsewhere that we’re not respecting the FA cup but who cares? We’ve got bigger fish to fry this season, and I don’t want to see someone integral to our season get booted by Everton!

We need to rest vvd and Gomez first and foremost for me, but apart from Nat Phillips does that mean hendo at the back again, Van der berg doesn’t seem ready. Maybe Williams can play too, but I’d rest Trent. Lallana can keep his place, and if shaq is fit he and origi should start with Elliot. Milner in the middle with Lallana, but I wouldn’t want to push gini too much either as he isn’t 100%, maybe Curtis Jones?

Think the term ‘kids’ might cover the players not in the starting line up, as well as the youngsters. Guess it depends on how many fronts the boss thinks we can fight. We all know how much the title means to the club and supporters so like it or not, the FA cup has to take a slight second place.

My lineup for Everton:

Adrian, Hoever, VDB, Philips, Larouci, Williams, Chirivella, Longstaff, Elliot, Jones, Brewster

The FA cup is our last priority at the minute. Why risk any of our senior players when we are so desperate to win the league and defend the UCL crown?

I guess there will be senior players not getting too much game time that will want to play IB?

For me, Klopp will find a middle ground in his lineup as he knows that a derby is always very important to the fans so he will respect the fans by putting a competitive team out, IMO.
Also can I just say that the whole "we are disrespecting the FA Cup" is becoming a tired talking point?

Two seasons ago, Willian and DDG before the Chelsea/ Utd final, said that they would rather get a top 4 spot than win the FA Cup (Chelsea were 5th that season) . Were they respecting the FA Cup? Again, It's becoming an old, tired talking point now.

Last season, Leicester City played a full reserve line-up with kids and got beaten by Newport, I think. Were they also respecting the FA Cup then? I'm over it now, seriously.

We play who we think is fit to play and produce and protect the squad for more important commitments esp. since our squad is pretty ravaged by injuries and fatigue at the moment.

Play a team strong enough to win, why not go for the FA cup on top of the league and champs league?
