My first daughter was born yesterday; Klopp extended his contract yesterday, so did Mr. Dependable Milner. What more could I ask from God?

That God himself returns to his late 90's age and form and signs a 5 year deal?

Could of been worst Corbyn could of got in.

{Ed025's Note - tell me that when the NHS gets sold off and brexit results in 4 more years of austerity and thousands of job losses, dont get me wrong cobyn is a person alright but for the common man the tories getting in will be a disaster...and the less said about boris johnson the better..

I’m sorry but Corbyn and his little band would have put us into a communist state with everything that goes with. We never need extremists either way to try and make a society where we can all try to better ourselves.

{Ed025's Note - i dont like corbyn CK far too left wing, but the alternative scares me even more, bungling boris will be trumps puppet and the rich will get richer and the poor poorer, please call back when you or one of your family are lying in a hospital corridor waiting days for treatment (hopefully not of course), or when the homeless numbers double because of significant job losses..

Nice little job the media have done on a few here. I know kids that can’t go to school 5 days a week, but the danger is labour?!?!

If you vote for the Tories then you shouldn't be a Liverpool supporter, you cannot just support our team but dismiss our beliefs as a city. Them disgusting conservative snakes are going to ruin us, just like Thatcher tried too.

{Ed025's Note - absolutely muller..

I dread the next 5 years. However, I try to take the positives from every situation. Labour need to go back to being more moderate and get someone in like Keir Starmer or Jess Phillips, im my opinion. There is no place for extreme socialism nowadays.
I know this is a football site, but apart from football this has been a bad week.

Surprised to see Daily Express readers on a Liverpool site. "Get Brexit Done. " Yeah, you're going to be doing Brexit for 10+ years of trade deal after trade deal with the EU. Not to mention Northern Ireland going on fire because of the existential crisis that this is causing in Unionism and Scotland attempting to leave the UK. But hey it was BoJo or the evil "Communist" (lol) Jeremy Corbyn, amirite?

Don't worry though, Ireland is set to have an enhanced role in the trade negotiations. Oh, too bad the low calorie Tory Leo Varadkar is going to last about 3 more months in office and whoever forms the next government over here is almost certainly going to rely on Labour (Ireland) and possibly even Sinn Fein to get the numbers.

But anyway, we shouldn't detract too much from Kenyan Red's good news. Congratulations mate.

Muller and Ed 25. Disappointed that you say that if you vote Tory you cannot be a Liverpool supporter. Life is not binary. God knows, Liverpool as a city has not been treated well but humanity has to find a way to move forward. A lot of people could not vote for Corbyn this election. There was literally no choice but to vote the other party. I personally voted Tory this election with hope that Labour moves closer to the centre with their next leader so I can vote Labour again.

Please don’t deny me my love of Liverpool just because I did.

{Ed025's Note - i cant tell you how to vote g1 thats down to personal concience, i agree that corbyn made it hard to vote for him but imo the tories carry a far greater threat to the average joe than even a bad labour leader mate..

There in lies a problem though G1. Life isn't binary, but your choice was. Maybe that needs to change.

How anyone can vote for party headed by inveterate liar and charlatan. As a staunch remainer (and Labour supporter) I would vote Brexit before I would vote Tory!

14 Dec 2019 19:33:26
Well said muller. You can't vote for corbyn but you can vote for Boris?
Socialism is about spreading the wealth out a bit. What is so wrong with that?

18.) 14 Dec 2019
14 Dec 2019 19:35:27
It's not about Corbyn, it's about the policies. Nationalisation of services, better NGS and affordable healthcare.
You vote Tory and soon you'll be paying £25 for each drug in your prescription. £25,000 for knee replacement.

Johnson and the Tories will destroy the poor now.
If you only voted Tory to get Brexit done, without considering all the other policies that they have, makes you look very silly imo.
Shankly was socialist. Not sure which part of actually caring about people you find so distasteful.

@cauli kid - it sounds like you've swallowed all the negativity the press threw at Corbyn hook, line, and sinker. I do love it when people talk about socialism though - I mean things like the NHS, unemployment benefit, disability benefit, affordable (or dare I say free) education, publicly owned services so that private entities can't bend the public over (see the unlimited, yearly rises in transport costs, energy bills, etc etc) - are you against these things?

I mean just to give you an example from a country that is not socialist in any way (Taiwan), but does have publicly owned utilities - I pay, for my gas, water, and electricity, around 50 pounds a month. Now that is the highest I have ever paid, it is usually cheaper. I use water, gas, electricity, exactly the same way I would in the UK, except the companies are publicly owned, meaning the prices they charge are moderated. It is even cheaper in Korea (due to the same principle) - say what you want about Corbyn the person but the things that tend to benefit the general public most are things which would be labelled socialist.

Saying somebody can't be a Liverpool supporter based on who they voted for is extremely narrow minded and goes against democracy. Football and politics have nothing to do with each other, they'll still be paid millions each month. If the Tories were so bad and they're going to destroy the country, it's strange how they got voted in, or are the majority of the population multi millionaires? Just people bitter because a democratic vote didn't go their way, nothing to do with LFC. Stop whining about it or emigrate. That's what I did!

15 Dec 2019 10:26:06
Venezuela anyone? Socialism is a nice idea but doesn't work. People need a hand up not a hand out. Corbyn and his loony left friends would have destroyed our society. We dodged a bullet and should be thankful.

22.) 15 Dec 2019
15 Dec 2019 12:29:22
Oh come on, is that a piss take?

Your log in name is Bill Shankly, and yet your calling Corbyn, who is mild Social Democrat on the global scale of things and had nothing approaching the levels of state control that is found in Venezuela in mind, a loony leftist.
