He just needs a goal and a better striker up front to work with, he was excellent yesterday and his work rate has never dropped even if his confidence has, the Newcastle fans appreciate him and we all know the geordies don't suffer fool gladly.

KK. A better striker up front, definitely. I don't think Joelinton's useless though and if he's being coached right, I think he'll get there.

He's very agile for such a big guy. If he get's that 10% better with his first touch and positioning, he could be a really good striker. I know he's not getting a great review by the media, but I don't think he's far off being really good.

I don't base my thoughts on players with what the media says EP.
Joelinton is never a £40m striker and Newcastle could have had 2 £20m strikers who could have offered more.
They have no striking options worth talking about, they are going to need the midfielders and defenders to contribute more than most teams.
You can tell from his body language he does not like the role bruce is asking him to perform.

20 million striker in today’s world would get you someone like Dwight Gayle. They needed a finisher though to counteract the two wide men with little end product.
