Cheers mate, much appreciated. The sterling Gomez debacle is a joke. What type of **** boos a man for being assaulted? I have a feeling this story will go on and on. Southgate is a muppet. He’ll likely start both next match and have sterling take the armband at some point.

{Ed001's Note - Southgate is an idiot. All he had to do was say Sterling was ill and so wouldn't be playing or rested or anything. He just wanted to make sure there were some questions for him to answer in the press conference and he could get his ugly mug on TV a few more times. Media whore that man. He was embarrassing as a player, he is no better as a coach.}

Cool, back in a place where he’s appreciated. Sure Liverpool isn’t even part of England. We all know it’s the real capital of Ireland 😃.

I'm with most; you just don't announce those kind of internal things to public. Deal it internally. These kind of things can easily affect lots; moral, motivation, etc.

Square tomato, any idea how Joe is? Absolutely embarrassing behaviour, especially with the push for awareness of men's mental health at the moment.

I read a post elsewhere from someone who had friends at game, that they were not booing Joe per se but Southgate, for replacing an attacker for a defender. I don't know if this is true as I neither watched it nor read match report.

Spot on, Ed. At first, I thought Southgate was fine letting the public know. I was wrong. Southgate made a grave mistake OR needs to focus on being the manager and not being a camera/ media- hugging celebrity. He also made some dumb joke about Sterling "having the hump" about being dropped for the Montenegro game. Right there, I realized this dude was a joke and was disappointed I supported him.

Now, the issue has escalated to the point of the ridiculous where now Big Joe is now the victim, AGAIN. If he is back at LFC then, good on him. He is where he is loved and supported and has the support system where he will be taken care off. Southgate embarrassed himself big time on this one.

{Ed001's Note - he has made a big deal in the media about something that should have been nothing. Nobody has been helped by the way he is handling it other than himself. Now the spotlight is all on Southgate and he loves it.}
