Glad you mentioned the Ferrari FIA clarification. amazing that a circuit with such a long straights and the Ferrari well off the pace!

Reminds me of the other year when the FIA where asked to put sensors in the Ferrari car as others suspected they were leaking oil into the fuel system and suddenly the pace dropped off.

Almost as blatant cheating as VAR ;)

{Ed001's Note - that oil thing was within the rules, the rules were changed. A few of the other teams did the same thing.}

I thought vettel showed he’s class when he was waiting to congratulate Lewis. 👌🏻.

Back in the day there was only a set amount of fuel aloud in the tank ( just like today) but some clever team ( can’t remember who sorry) put an extra long fuel line in that held lots more fuel and this part was never weighed.
Clever buggers!

That's one of the few instances of F1 cheating I haven't heard about Longthing. ("Water cooled brakes" is a personal favourite of mine) I'll have to do some digging on that one.

I'm guessing it was in the late 1.5l turbo era when they introduced the fuel limit to stop them running full boost? Mid to late 80s?

McLaren's 3rd pedal in 98 or 99 still remember Schumacher looking in the car and being pissed off

I desperately miss refuelling remember good old days of splash and dash in the final minutes of qualifying and cars running out of fuel on thier in lap after setting a pole lap time schumi sitting on his front tire after doing this and very quickly jumping back up 🤣🤣 every change to f1 has made it worse I hope the 2021 changes improve it but I think it actually maybe to late to get back the lost fans.
