Ed01, thanks. Any idea what's ruled out matip? Massive chance for Joe I feel. If he really impresses he could win his place back. I like his pace, matip is decent in the air but I always feel a quick striker could skin him and, In fact, they have in recent games. With better finishing we may not have 7/ 7. But on the other hand, I thought gomez looked quite small against Sheffield. I know he is bigger than he looks on camera but I thought he looked thinner than last season. He was bullied off the ball by the winger too. I have been impressed with matip this season. Any idea how long he may be out?

Crazy behaviour from the Nice forward! What was he thinking? He must be on decent money himself.

After last nights game I think we need Matip back as soon as possible because I thought Gomez was quite poor. I had high hopes for Gomez after how he started last season but looks like those injuries have set him back quite a bit - hope he proves me wrong!

Hasn’t been back long - as with anyone not playing regularly he had poor moments, but also some exceptional ones too. I have no doubt long term, but thankfully Matip also looking very good right now.

I think against Leicester Gomez might be useful in dealing with an in form vardy. Vardy loves playing against the big sides who normally defend with a higher line. Gomez has the pace to handle him better than matip who I wouldn't want to see playing if not 100%.

Gomez isn't suddenly a bad defender and I'd have more than enough faith that his form will return soon. VVD was also sloppy the other night we are seemily ignoring.
