Ed002, you have mentioned a few names that we may be interested in if salah were to leave, and a few names if we were looking to replace mane or salah.

However, you mentioned were looking to bring in a left mid and/ or a attacking midfielder, who would you say is in the running for that, assuming no one leaves this year or in the summer?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool looked at Ceballos and Laxalt previously but they are most unlikely now. For AM Liverpool have looked at the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Draxler, Brandt and Fekir but have seemingly moved on from them all. Much may depoend on Keita.}

We should go for Philip Max from Augsburg. Plays left back and LM. We get quality cover for two positions and the price will probably be reasonable as well.

{Ed002's Note - You would sell Larouci and Lewis then?}

Isn't Lewis being converted into a defensive midfielder now? Heard he is no longer an option as a left back anyways. Could be good cover for Fabinho though.
Larouci probably needs a few years out on loan to play regular football. He is no where near ready to play LB for the club from what I have seen. Playing 7-8 games a season won't make him better. Max is the finished article and plays multiple positions (LB, LM, LW) so game time won't be an issue. Considering full backs are where most of our creativity comes from, I really would not like the club to compromise for those positions. Bring in genuine competition for Robbo, so the levels do not drop if he gets injured or needs rest. Robbo, TAA, Max and Hoever as full back options makes so much sense for a club wanting to genuinely compete on all fronts.
City have 4 senior international full backs in their squad. Why can't Liverpool?

{Ed002's Note - So move on the youngsters for good - why are you so jealous of Manchester City. The just throw money at Max and tell him he will sit on the bench.}

Thanks for the reply ed, seems for left wing our options are close to our chest. Not convinced on laxalt so glad we moved on. Origi seems to play there when he comes in, I’d rather give him a chance to be honest, and focus on a purely creative number 10.

Move on the youngsters for good? I said Larouci should be loaned out for a few years to a club where he plays regularly. It's better for his development in the long run. Max would not just be cover, he would be genuine competition for Robertson and a good option to cover for Mane as well. With his versatility, Max easily starts 25-30 games especially with Milner also likely to leave.
Max effectively replaces the roles that Milner and Lallana (as a LM) play in the squad. He would be a replacement, not an addition anyways. It's always good to have versatile utility players in the squad. It's worked wonders for LFC with Milner and Zinchenko with City.

{Ed002's Note - You don’t get it I am afraid.}

Hi eds
Has keita passed he English test yet?

{Ed002's Note - I don't know but I cannot imagine the extension requested in July would be more than 90 days so I suspect he has.}

City never spend less than 50m on full backs but still play Walker and Zinchenko every week. I think we are alright with who we have. In fact we already have City's best option as our full back option in James Milner.
