Good morning Ed's

Just reading we are being investigated for fielding a ineligible player v MK Dons who, do you no anything about this please?

If so I take it we are booted out of the competition? Or maybe that's what Klopp wanted.

Have to say what a cock up if true, who shoulders the blame for it?

{Ed002's Note - It is the responsibility of the Club Secretary to ensure registrations and paperwork are all in place at each club. It is no more than a stupid mistake. If however Klopp deliberately played Chirivella to get the club ejected from the competition, then obviously his career as a coach has finished. He would be unemployable. So that didn’t happen.

If Liverpool do not want to appear in competitions then they can simply withdraw.}

Didnt Man City have a similar issue with one of their players in the same competition a few years back?

{Ed002's Note - There are a good number of examples, the most extreme being earlier this year when Junior Moraes appeared for Ukraine at International level. Manchester City - I recall one in the Women’s team. Sunderland and Wimbledon (or MK Dons - I don’t recall), Cheryshev playing got Real Madrid kicked out of the Copa del Rey a few years ago.}

Sunderland played 4 league games and a cup game and got a fine. I imagine same will happen to us.

The club don't think they done anything wrong, but even if they have at most it will be a fine and done with . To suggest Klopp did this deliberately is beyond moronic --sorry but its --.

Thank you reply Ed002, was a stupid comment suggesting Klopp done it on purpose, I no it wasn’t done deliberately just seems a daft thing to let happen at any level. If we are thrown out the cup then I guess we deserve it.

{Ed002's Note - It will be no more than a mistake. Responsibility rests with the club secretary who has to make sure all of the clearances are in place.}

Will be fine mate, it's just annoying after a week of frustrating news from the club. Hopefully we can tie up the dispute with new balance too and move on.
