Not because of matchday fever but we should sign that harry wilson guy.

Oh wait a minute.

He is once in a generation talent on dead balls. That free kick against city was nuts. I applaud the club finding good loan deals for him.
I think after this years experience he is definitely liverpool ready if he wasnt considered good enough now.

{Ed001's Note - did you actually watch him? He scored one free kick and then was awful. Loose touches, standing round watching his man run off him, he is just not doing enough. He needs a kick up the arse because talent is not everything.}

ed001 he did put a good ball in before the goal at 0-1 should have been put away for 1-1. but he does remind me Shaqiri does not do enough in games but as an impact sub or my be at home to the lesser teams that just sit back teams with 9 men behind the ball teams like arsenal could open them up.

{Ed001's Note - he is worth far more in transfer fees than he would be in coming off the bench. I would much rather have Brewster or Divvy there for the impact sub role. We can get a good fee for Wilson and he is never going to hold down a first team place, so we should take it. If you start hanging on to coasters it sends out the wrong message to other players.}

Just on a side note. How ON EARTH is Steve Cook still a Premier League player? It’s these kind of decisions that stop Bournemouth progressing. Has Howe taken them as far as he can?

{Ed001's Note - Howe has no idea about defending.}

Thats why i said its a good loan for him and he will be ready next season.

Clearly. The Bournemouth defending for all 3 of City’s goals today was unprofessional, you could see each goal happening 30 seconds before it actually did. Howe is a Brendan-lite coach - squanders mountains of cash on championship players, never improves the team beyond a certain level and plays an awful, inefficient, pretentious style of football.

Wilson did three things on the pitch today in his 70 mins today. He scored a brilliant free kick. Got fouled by Sterling off the ball and laid on a good ball for Callum Wilson who should have done better vs Ederson, IMO. That was about it. You did not know he was playing after all that cos I rarely saw him put in tackle or any type of graft. Sorry, Wilson will be sold and I for one, welcome it cos clearly, he is not good enuff cos if he was, he would still be here.

Wilson is certainly not 'Liverpool ready', excellent dead ball deliveries but anonymous for the rest of the match. Does not track back or work hard enough off the ball, I would think he is exactly the kind of player Klopp does not want in his team.
Lets see how his loan goes this season, but I think Ed01 has summed it up perfectly and Liverpool should take the money and run.

@ed001 It’s weird n Just funny! Did u guys see the difference n the impact when he’s on? He’s being named as Bournemouth star man tonight. He’s a gd player. Just not suitable for JK tactics where he reuiqre combative players instead of creative players.

{Ed001's Note - bizarre as he just doesn't do enough.}

MkReds, "Klopp prefers combative players instead of creative players? " What are you on about, man? Are you saying that our front three are just combative and not creative? Bobbie leads the PL in assists for the past two seasons among CF's, I reckon. Salah is an assist master as well and to some extent, so is Mane (who actually plays the no. 10 role for Senegal) .

"He was Bournmouth star man". So what? Does LFC look like being at the same level as B'mouth, man? B'mouth are midtable fodder while LFC is the best team in Europe and top 2 in the PL. Again, are you for real? Inaccuracy does not even begin to describe your post. I would understand your post coming from a rival fan who does not watch us play or is just trying to whind people up BUT coming from a supposed LFC fan, it is even worse.

I've heard so many people today complaining about us letting Wilson out on loan, it's laughable that simply a great free kick gets many clueless fans thinking he's good enough. They've literally judged him on that one moment and clearly not analysed his overall match contributions.

Yet the general opinion these same fans give on coutinho is that he offers nothing asides from hitting screamers and he's not a good fit for us. So many contradictions it's laughable how strong opinions are made with zero factual insight to base them on.

Even if Wilson scores another 15 free kicks this season he's still not capable of offering this Liverpool team what we need.

Let's remember the likes of Charlie Adam or nuri sahin as guys who had only style over substance.

hahaha every time I watch harry, 90% of the game he is disengaged then he springs to life in the attacking third. I really want him to develop the rest of his game but from a distance it looks like he has fallen as in love with his motd highlights as the fans have.

I agree with Ed 100%. Sell him. Why would we want someone who is JUST a free kick specialist? We'd be playing with 10 men most of the match until that one moment that there is a free kick 30 yards out.

2 goals from 3 games that he did not do the full 90 for a 15-> 20m rated young winger who just joint a premiership team is not bad. Bournemouth are thinking they got themselves a bargain. don't know what most of you expect from him. he is one of our own be happy for him. most of you bark about youth here is one trying to shine and you just RIP him to pieces.

13.) 26 Aug 2019
26 Aug 2019 01:51:30
No one has been ripping him to pieces or slating him, just saying that he's not a fit for our team and calling it how it is, no disrespect has been shown to him just realistic reasoning why klopp is clearly right in not needing him. 2 goals in 3 games is great but that's not at all a measure of wether he'd be suitable for us. Ashley Barnes has 4 goals doesn't mean he's good enough to play for us.

14.) 26 Aug 2019
26 Aug 2019 06:58:05
No room for sentimentality, Roy. If he's good enough let's keep him. If he's not, let's wish him the best. We need players who play a good, hard, 90 minutes each and every week and, despite the occasional goal, Harry doesn't do that.

15.) 26 Aug 2019
26 Aug 2019 07:52:33
its because we know that he can do that already. The detractors want to see the rest of his game develop so he can fit in next season.

16.) 26 Aug 2019
26 Aug 2019 13:14:11
People forget so easily that we have let much better players leave (Suso, Teixeira and Luis Alberto come to mind) because they still didn't fit the mold Klopp has in mind for his midfielders. I doubt there'd be so much interest if Wilson was not homegrown.

17.) 26 Aug 2019
26 Aug 2019 17:44:59
Remember the last bloke we had at the club who was rated mostly for his set pieces? Charlie something? He worked out well.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see lads come through from the youth system, but he needs more than a tasty freekick in his locker to convince me and more importantly, to convince Klopp. That's presumably why we let him go on loan to a Premier League club, to see can he step up.

26 Aug 2019 19:06:02
Roy, please stop with the whole "righteous indignation" stuff, ok? Thi is footie at the highest level and if you think any of us care about Wilson's stats of two goals in 3 games w/ o considering the rest of his body of work in those game like you are doing now, then you are fooling yourself.

I could not be arsed about his misleading stats. The guy does NADA on the pitch if he is not scoring a screamer. What happened before and after the screamer? Nothing and if that does not change, he will be sold and you can then support whatever team he plays for.
