I think it's obvious that world class talent will not want too come and sit on the bench as the defence plus goalie picks itself, the forward line also the same, the midfield is all about graft winning the ball back and countering, we have a well oiled machine that works a certain way, although I would like more creativity in there an guile we have too trust the squad if no players are signed.

I trust the squad we have, they just won the champions league, do we need backup players? Yes we do but I trust the club. We'll have a strong season no doubts about it but let's all remember, the window isn't over yet. We're so used to signing players early on but things change, we could go and sign 3 players on the last day, you just never know but either way we move on and enjoy what's to come.

Time for us to win the league!

Don't get your handbags out everybody, I'm only joking 🙄🤔. Or am I? 😂.

I think the narrative around our front 3 has been created such that the world sees them as immovable. When you look at City, even a PL great like Aguero was not seen as a guaranteed starter so it gave hope for back up options like Jesus that he could come in and challenge for the place. With us, it's almost set in stone that when the front 3 are fit, they will start, so unless if somebody has the arrogance to think they can dislodge Salah or Mane or Firmino, they won't even consider it.

I don't think it is necessarily down to Klopp's loyalty. Just that our front 3 were the only decent options for last few seasons so they have become so staunchly associated with our team and play.

I don't get all this "sit on the bench" stuff? If your a player Who comes in who plays in Salah position, when he scores 3 in training you score 4. Fight for your damn place, take your chance, and you'll play every match.

{Ed001's Note - there is a reason why Salah has been a top scorer in the last couple of seasons, which means that no one is likely to be able to do that. Why is it so difficult to grasp?}

I don't think you can win with a squad full of "back-up" players. What you need is competition for places.

Our front 3 are world class and if the question was asked who would you replace them with then the argument could well be nobody. However for me its not a case of replacing them its a case of complimenting them by allowing them to rest or be substituted without our overall performance and threat dropping and adding another top quality forward.

We cannot expect our front 3 to play 60 + games every season from start to finish in the hope they avoid injury and loss of form. Towards the end of last season Origi stepped up to the plate and showed that he potentially has the ability to be that man however he has done it over a 2 month period during a few seasons with us, so whether he can sustain that over a full season still remains to be seen.

People talk about Sane not being happy at City but the lad featured in 31 league games last season and that's trying to get minutes along with Mahrez (27) and Jesus (29) so they all got plenty of games compared to Origi who featured in (12).

For me I don't believe Klopp fully trusts the bench and his forward substitutions are normally late last throw of the dice rather than the 60-70 min mark bringing on fresh legs, resting a forward or changing it up.

With 4 class forwards vying for 3 positions they could technically all start 40 games each and then that's not including substitute appearances so if the right player was bought they wouldn't be coming here to sit on the bench they would be coming here to contribute and assist in helping us win the league.

I think its pretty clear though that a new forward isn't coming and I am perfectly fine with that. Hopefully Origi maintains his end of season form and Brewster steps up and becomes that quality forward i have been speaking about the squad needing to compliment the world class front 3 we already have.

Saying all that we might have a little gem in Harvey elliot for 16 he looks very assured an positive on the ball also creative, shame he is so young but he has played more premiership minutes than larouci, adam lewis, harry Wilson an I think Heover says a lot about his quality. We could see more of him than we think .

@Hailstones - how comes Arsenal are apparently looking at Zaha, in addition to Pepe?
That collection of forward players would be as good as anything in the PL.

{Ed001's Note - 'apparently' says it all. I hate this time of year, people believe any old rubbish. Not that it would matter as they don't have a front 3 that are as good as Mane, Salah and Firmino anyway.}

I have too b honest I crave signings, but u have too be realistic at the same time, 3 of our players have been top scorer in prem salah twice and mane, then firmino is the glue that sticks it all together an the whole world knows it, personally I think bruno fernandes or ziyech would b icing on the cake, but in klopp we trust.

Hailstones, I would like us to sign players too cos that just gets your juices up for the season. However since Klopp has come and transformed a sleeping giant to Giant's of the PL and Kings of Europe onc again, I'm over all that. Klopp has my complete trust and respect. I have tested him on his signings of Ox, Robbo, Shaq and he has shut me up completely with the way these signings have panned out.

If he says there is no one out there that he wants, he will either wait for the right player (something that he has proven with waiting for Fab, VVD and Allison to be available) or sign nobody. Signings? Yeah, I like it BUT with Klopp at the helm, I'm good.
