It seems Jurgen Klopp is planning to assemble highly talented players as team B for Liverpool. Those that will play Carabao, FA, EFL trophies in order to concentrate on winning the EPL. Harvey Elliot, Sepp van den Berg, Bobby Duncan e. t. c are suspected players to to feature.

It would be a shame going out in the first round of each cup if we play a complete b team. As a powerhouse you should compete on all fronts. When we lost to wolves in the fa cup this year, it seemed to dent our confidence.

I find that very hard to believe. Senior players like Lovren, one of National/ Gomez, Migs, Origi, Shaq, Lallana and at least 2 of our midfielders will start in the domestic cup games. Brewster, Larouci and Hoever aside, I cannot see any of the kids featuring even in the cup games tbh unless there is an injury crisis.

Yeah for the wolves fa cup game we were in a crisis with injury. Camacho Hoever Fabinho Moreno was our back 4 solely out of being the only ones available. Origi was making his first start of the season, sturridge was an embarrassment. Shaqiri and Curtis Jones offered a very unbalanced midfield. That was as weak as we could possibly have been. And wolves are a good side, Chelsea in league cup were on fire at the time winning nearly every game up to then. Hazard magic won it as he was the in form player in Europe at the time. We were unlucky to draw Chelsea and wolves in the first round of both cups. With a bith more fortune in the draws this year it would be great opportunity to mix youth and squad players if possible.

I believe Klopp will mix youth with experience in the cups if we draw lower league teams. To suggest he’ll resort to a B team is ridiculous. Did not think Klopp will sacrifice any trophy this season. He’ll want to show Pep whose boss.

Honestly though, if we lose 3-0 to a league 2 side in the 3rd rounds of the FA and League cups playing 11 kids, who will care if we then win the league?
I'd take that and a champo group stage exit this season if you could guarantee the title.

We're not winning the league.

It wouldn’t reflect well on the kids coming through if they lost 3-0 to a league 2 team. We’re playing for 7 trophies this season and amazingly to win 3 of them only takes an extra 4 fixtures. We won’t win all 7 but we should be aiming too.

Maaaa, why can't we win the PL? Care to explain?

Don't like to say we're winning anything not to jynx it to be honest. we won't win the CL either ;)

We can win it but if I’m honest, I don’t think we will Wolf. I think we’ll drop points at the start of the season and also at Christmas, we couldn’t cope last season after Christmas and it’ll be even tougher this time round. We will be in Qatar between the 18 and the 21st December and I just think the fixture pile up will be too much.

I hope I’m wrong, I’d love us to take the title away form the mancs.

I think we’ll struggle when we have that waste of time world club competition and also when teams set up to park the bus, as we struggled with that last season and simply repeating everything we did last time won’t end up with a different result. I’m confident that we’ll be top four, but I just can’t see that we’ll have enough to win the league, City will win it again I’m afraid.

The wcc is not a waste, its huge for fans in Asia/ Africa/ South America and only positives can come from winning it. There is a winter break this season btw.

We'll be out of contention by the end of September. An improved citeh just won't drop points and I think that a depleted Liverpool side will. We will find it harder to break teams down this season and I don't think we have the creative force in midfield that I think we'll need to compete at the very top of the table. Standing still is going backwards IMO. If we don't add something different and technically superior to what we have to choose from in midfield then I'd be surprised to finish within 10 points of citeh.

That moment when you notice that a completely negative post about Liverpool’s chances is written by a totally new poster.

RedGravy, you are aware that we could do what you have suggested and still not win the league, right? Your post is too simplistic to even be taken seriously. "We will find it harder to break teams down", "I don't think we have the creative force in midfield to . ". We will do this, we will do that and etc. Yikes, man! How do you know all of this? Oh, let me guess. We will struggle and be out of the title race by Sept. (abject nonsense really) unless Klopp does exactly what you want, right?

Here's a secret: Klopp will never do what you nor I want so get over it and get over yourself. Secondly, you saying we lack the creative force in midfield to do this that and the other is total hogwash. You don't create the amount of chances and score the amount of goals we do if we lack creativity from midfield. In fact, we have creativity everywhere on the pitch cos every single one of our starting 11 (including AB1) can create chances. But hey, you already knew that right? Give it a rest, bro. You know nothing about what will happen next season so stop acting like you cos Klopp won't do what you want.

Like a Virgil

I'm a first time poster, what's your point?
Because you bother to make comments all the time whilst I just read to get the latest news, how does that make my opinion any less valid than yours.
You can't understand how not improving with one or two class players at a time when we are in absolutely prime position to do so would be a missed opportunity. An improved citeh who are already prem champions and will have a bigger and better quality squad than our own and probably fewer games to play.
If we drop points in the first couple of months and trail citeh by 5 points then it's game over. It may be a one off for us to achieve 90+ points, for citeh it's assumed they'll do so.
