Right, so Klopp plays a front 3. Mane, Salah and Firmino.

Some suggest that we need to sign another 1st team forward. When will he start?

That is why the club will not sign a player like Pepe at another record fee at this point as he will not be guaranteed to start matches and I highly doubt he is going to sign for us unless he can take Salah's place. Ed002 explained this but who knows, things can change in an instant.

That is why Klopp has said, do not expect crazy money being thrown around. Ed002 has been telling everyone to RTFP's when they ask about players which will not be joining.

We have also been made aware to expect a player like Cornet, versatile forward who will play as backup and willing to do so, not a player who will sign unless he is going to start matches. How many times does this need to be drilled in? Only 3 players can start up top.

The likes of Bruno Fernandes also was never going to join as we are filled to the brim in midfield. What is more, Klopp signed Keita to fill the attacking role in midfield. Why does anyone think Klopp is going to blow a record fee on someone like Fernandes? What does Klopp do with Keita then? Does anyone realise how much Keita is costing the club? Once again Ed002 explained this.

Nobody is against signing new players, not even Klopp and he has also recently explained this but also said if he does not sign anyone then it is what it is.

I expect many unhappy fans once the window has shut, not because I do not want to see the club make new signings but because I am taking in valuable info from the likes of the Eds who gets it right almost everytime and also how the club is going about in this window.

Always thought Keita was a box to box cm but what do i know. i'd say Chamberlain is the player who is more of a AM and he hasn't played a game for over a year so hopefully a gamble that will pay off as we are obviously sure he will return to the same form!

So we should expect Simao to sign soon.

I totally get what you’re saying Max, but I also think you’re in danger if the front are completely unchallenged for their role. Signing one player who can challenge all 3 starting berths can help raise their game even further. Between resting 3 players, 1 squad player can get enough game time.

Wiji and Milner are testament to this from their performances last season.

I did not say Keita was an attacking midfielder Maaaaa, as I mentioned to fill the attacking role i. e. getting goals, assists like he did when he played in the Bundesliga.

Keita is an attack minded player after all.

Shaq, one again, some like Pepe is not going to sign unless he starts every match.

That is why the club is after a versatile forward as backup as we cannot replace our front three unless they leave.

Signing Pepe at a world record fee surely will be based on Salah leaving. Surely? Salah is staying.

So is this all a smokescreen for us to bring Aguero in finally?

The last thing we want is Klopp explaining to our fans that we signed Pepe and Salah is happy to share minutes with Pepe.

Will be like Pep trying to convince the City fans that Sane is happy when he is refusing to sing a new deal at City.

I am all for the versatile forward as backup and even Ed002 suggested that a player like Cornet would be a very good option for us.

Lmao Tommy.

If kieta sorts his off field issues out max I think I he will be brilliant for us next season we only caught a glimpse of him last season he has a lot of potential hopefully he is working hard like the rest of the squad.

Keita needs to recover from his season ending injury first.

For the first time since the 80's I wouldn't worry if we didn't sign anyone. Our young first 11 have 1 years improvement and togetherness as a team.

I know we shouldn't put too much pressure on young brewster, but i really think he's going to do well. He is a CF but i think he played out wide in one or two of the friendlies. He can pass as well as score. With him shaqiri and origi we have our cover. I know shaq's defending isn't the best but offensively he's a dangerous little player who makes goals. Origi is like the first front 3, give him the chances and he will finish them.

{Ed025's Note - its hardly the magi that three robbie, more curly, larry and moe i would say mate.. :)

If this is to be lallana and probably milner’s last season, signing Fernandes, a goal scoring creative midfielder, makes total sense to me.

I read the first few lines and i thought "this is this max lad this", it's the same constant theme to your posts (Pepe) (£80million) (world record fees), now I'm no psychologist but I'd say your trying to convince yourself we don't need anybody rather than genuinely believing it! I'll be totally honest with you, I'm genuinely concerned about the season ahead (and I'm not alone), now considering we're European champions that cannot be right, only time will tell who's right or wrong and believe me I hope and pray it's me, but sadly I'm pretty sure I won't be.

Salah, mane or firmino get an Injury that keeps them out a few months, the options to replace them are origi and shaqiri, bar those goals he scored origi isn't nowhere near the level needed, nor is shaqiri, and an injury to one of the front 3 then makes the other 2 play every game we have, we need a quality back up who is at a level where you can rotate them with the current front 3 or replace due to injury, failing to do so would be catastrophic, and u can see it blowing up in klopp face and impacting our season.
