Ed025,

Honestly I think Everton are really showing signs of improvement, getting the missing pieces into the team and really building a spine to challenge.
Now that's the u10's sorted.

BTW the Everton first team are crap :)

{Ed025's Note - i like that polecat, i can live with giving a bit of stick mate and its all fair in my book, lots of people tell lies and thats just banter...by the way good luck for the coming season.. :)

I think Everton will do a lot better this season they are building a decent side and got better as the season went on last year.

Everton are only 2 Centre Backs and Top quality forward away from being a darkhorse next season for me. They also finished the season fairly strongly so if they can pick it up at the start of this season they could ones to watch.

{Ed001's Note - goalkeeper? Their keeper is crap. Right winger? Walcott is awful. Central midfield? They don't have any real quality in there. They are a long way away from being a dark horse, because that would suggest they are capable of challenging for the title and they simply are nowhere near it. They lack any back up of real quality. I wish they were ready to challenge with us, but they have a long way to go yet.}

Hiya ed025, I really think Everton have strong chance to break into top 6 or even 4, Arsenal, United and Chelsea are in a bit of a mess at the moment and you guys building in the right direction so hopefully you can do it . Glad you kept Gomez and I think Delph is a good edition, he improved quite a bit under Pep.

{Ed025's Note - top 4 might be stretching it a bit roy, but i think we are as good as the 3 you mentioned mate..

Not by selling Lookman. He is a genuine talent from what I have seen and given a chance could have solved a long standing problem for Everton.

{Ed025's Note - i dont pretend to know whats going on with ademola klucas, but a succession of managers have failed to give him a run in the side so there is something wrong somewhere mate...but what i dont know as i think hes a talent..

Silva should be given time. I think that's the problem. Everton have looked like a half built team for the last 3/ 4 years. They get a new manager in, he makes a few signings, fan expectation goes way up (probably too much too soon) and when they're not in the top 6 (or drop out of the top half) the manager is sacked. A new guy with new ideas comes in and its start all over again. Silva is a good manager imho, he has over achieved for the most part with his time in the premier league.

Forget the rivalry with liverpool. Its not being rude by saying we are in a different class, its just a fact. Not many teams on the planet are in our class atm. Everton are screaming out for a bit of stability. And i think you're right ed025 - chelsea, utd and arsenal are there for the taking.

Ed01 is correct to a point. Everton are nowhere near buting into the top 6 anytime soon. IMO, Leicester and Wolves are a much better chance of doing that than Everton do cos well, they have the better teams, better players and to a point, better managers.

Everton by my calculation, have spent almost 250m in the past two summers for the dross we saw in the first season under Koeman and the average season we saw last season. Of all the signings they made, only Zouma (who is not even and Everton player) held his own and that is cos he is a very good defender that I rate. The others have been poor.

Walcott, Klassen, Tosun etc all dross. And the "genius" that let Lookman go to RB should be sacked ASAP? And you wonder why Everton can't get anywhere. Before they can bust into the top 6, they are going to have to sort their transfer strategy out first, something they are terrible at for now.
