I think it is fair to say that if we did sign the likes of Fekir then one of or at least both of Lallana and Shaqiri need to be moved on. Fekir is not really a wide player so doubt he will be a versatile forward and Lyon not going to waste their time with us making an offer which does not suite them. Fekir also not going to sign playing second fiddle to Firmino.

It wouldn't surprise me if Klopp and Edwards are just playing the waiting game. Fekir has one year left on his contract and Lyon have said that he's leaving.

We're obviously in a much better bargaining position if we wait and Lyon end up "offering" him to us.

Could you see the club doing this, Eds?

I read an article about all the prem teams and their £20m+ signings, and spurs had 7, and all 7 were signed in the last week of their transfer window. That Daniel Levy is no muppet.

{Ed002's Note - Not with discussions continuing with another side.}

If he was happy to sign last year, he should be even happier now.

But agreed on Lallana and Shaqiri.

I wonder can we even move lallana on so easily, his injuries of late and into his 30s I can't see many clubs wanting to pay his wages. I've a feeling he will be more than happy to remain at Liverpool until his contract runs out, . No need to sell shaqiri, a very useful squad player, hopefully he can adapt to suit our current formation better in time.

Ed002 is that Milan who are in discussions with Lyon?

{Ed002's Note - Yes.}

I know you don’t like talking fees Ed but is the fee in region of half it was to be last year (27.5)?

Just thinking if so we have moved on as I think we would have already been in.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has no agreement to buy him.}

I think we should keep shaqiri. We can’t buy one and take two out, when that’s where we’re shortish.
