Morning Ed,

I know he plays for City and all but Silva, it'll be a shame to see him not playing in this league after next year, he's unreal I just love watching him play. For me he is ONE OF the best the premier league has ever seen. I'm guessing he'll end up back in Spain?

Thank you mate, hope you have a good day.

{Ed001's Note - yes mate, he very nearly went home when his daughter was sick and he missed a lot of time a couple of seasons ago. He is truly a great player. One of my favourite all-time footballers.}

Thanks Ed, much appreciated.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome P-r, just wondering how many people share the Ladapo dream?}

Agreed Ed, he's a legend in my eyes, it'd be interesting if you could do an article on him when he retires mate?

{Ed001's Note - he is not retiring mate, just leaving City.}

Oh I see Ed, my bad mate, I automatically assumed with his age he would be retiring but I'm glad he's not, it'll be interesting to see where he ends up.

{Ed002's Note - Have you looked on the Manchester City page?}

Morning Ed001,
Thanks for the info.

Regarding Newcastle Utd,
Lot of other Nufc players have expressed the same feelings. Few of them will be open to offers now that Rafa has left the club.
But hardly surprising, as most of them only came to the Toon because of him, the only problem is, is that if they are sold, then the money will be straight into Ashleys pocket, 2019/ 20 season has relegation written all over it for NUFC, unless a takeover happens.

About Silva,

What a servant for City and the PL. I will always remember that pass from him to Dzeko when they smashed United 6-1 at Old Trafford. What an assist! His ability with the ball is amazing. One of the classiest players I’ve ever seen. But for some reason constantly gets overlooked.

ED001, would you take him in your premier league XI of all time?

{Ed001's Note - Silva would be one of the first names on the teamsheet mate. He walks into a Prem XI imo.}

Ed, I remember we were linked with silva a lot before he went to city, we’re we ever in the running for him? Would have been an amazing signing!

{Ed001's Note - yes, Rafa set up a move for him and Villa but Prick Parry pulled the plug on it because he is an utter bell and decided it was too expensive.}

No mate, I haven't, it's as dead as a doornail over there, unless City have suddenly gained a few fans?

{Ed002's Note - It has all been explained there.}

Great read Ed001.

Totally agree although you re Parry, yet another example of previous owners holding us back.

{Ed001's Note - cheers Drogie. I am being reminded constantly what a complete arse Parry was as I am researching an article on him that was requested by a couple of people. He really knows f all about the game and it is sickening that such a moron is being paid big money to act as an advisor to teams around the world. The only use that bewigged gimp has is in doing the exact opposite of everything he says. He has lied so many times about his time that there are more contradictions out there in the press about what happened while he was CEO than occur in time travel TV serials. One thing is for sure, whenever he speaks it is just bull to hoist the blame on anyone else for the way he robbed LFC blind for years.}

I am looking forward to the Parry article ed, he was one of the main men whilst I started following Liverpool but didn't really know much about his role until after he left. But from seeing your remarks from you previously he seems one of the main reasons for our malaise during the 90/ 00's.

{Ed001's Note - oh he was. I have still not forgiven him for being the reason G&H got in, as he got a nice little payout for choosing them.}

Just goes to show that 1 or 2 of the wrong people in key positions can bring down a club. I knew Parry was incompetent but didn't realise to what degree.

We should all feel really lucky to have the set up and squad we have now. I don't know much about the people upstairs in the club at the moment but they seem to be generally doing the right things.

{Ed001's Note - Moores and Parry between were fully responsible for all the club's problems. G&H actually improved things when they took over, it was just a lack of money, and the handicap of still having Moores and Parry at the club, that meant things got so bad. When those two can come in and make immediate improvements, that is when you know things were a mess! G&H knew nothing about football, yet they were better custodians than 2 men who claim to love LFC.}

Thanks ed01

Lol@ Rotherham.

David silva. Undoubtedly a premier league legend. Instrumental in their record breaking season. When kdb was getting all the plaudits (legs like paintbrushs, stick to the defencive analysis martin)

{Ed001's Note - how can you laugh at Rotherham? They are the dream!!!}

I first saw Silva on a raucous night at Anfield in the 2012 League Cup Semi final and was instantly and deeply impressed, so composed and never put a pass out of place.
I agree on his PL legend status, great player.

The only time i've come close to dreaming of Rotherham was when i was in medical need of a cigarette. Ot wasnt Rotherham but it was close.

Im guessing G&H will be touched upon within the article but I won't forget watching sky sports news when Fenways takeover was under way. Weren't we days away from administration because of the debt the club had? Just shows the massive mountain we have climbed since and why the current owners aren't perfect I don't think I could ever criticise the job they have done for us.

@ed1, just touching back on moores, wasnt it true that King Kenny wanted to return as manager in the mid 90s but moores was hesitant to bring him back to the club?

{Ed001's Note - I don't remember it being Moores that blocked him coming back, it was after Kenny had been replaced though, so it wasn't that simple anyway.}
