Why are some fans so against the club adding a couple of signings to the current squad? why the panic of what will happen to this player or that player?
As we know by now Klopp plays different players and formations depending on which side he comes up against, competition for places can only be healthy imo.

The last time we won the European cup and finished 2nd in the league we never really kicked on, we simply cannot afford to make that mistake again, if it takes a fekir type signing to get us over the line I am all for that.
Finally one last fact as regards to Roberto Firmino he has always reached double figures in every season he has been a Liverpool player, which I think is superb.

100% KK. We are not of the top 4 teams in Europe often, right now we are, and we must cement it and stay here. Signings are a must.

You can also put a lot of money on the fact that we will have scouted any newcomers within an inch of their lives. This scouting system we have sounds scary, and any player we bid on, the selling club will be realising there's a gem there if we go sniffing so I personally think we will be paying big prices. What a transformation ey.

What people don't realize is that it's been a long exhaustive season. The players smile and say they feel no pressure at all during the season, but by the last game many look like the walking dead and are even unable to get themselves off the grass when the last whistle is blown. And then the EPL is followed by competitions where key players (Firmino, Alisson, Salah and Mane at the Copa America and Afcon, this year) will be competing while the majority are on holidays.

It's not a given that the full squad will be present in top fitness and fully rested on the first day of the season. It rarely happens that way. And we all know that to win the EPL you have to be at your best from the first match. So it's entirely prudent and smart to have reinforcements made. And if and when even better players are available (financially viable and finances permitting) , I say, go for it.

The greatest manger ever (sir Bob paisley) never rested on his laurels, we'd win the league and at least two players would come in regardless, the same with European cup after European cup, 13 trophies in 9 years shows that to retain your success you add and build on your success. And jurgen needs to emphasize this point to these owners and use his power now attained at the club to ask for as big a transfer pot as he can.

I’m sorry but there isn’t a single fan out there against the idea of signing another player. Just fans frustrated about the constant meaning over the lack of transfer activity. Especially coming off our most successful season in a decade and the fact that not one of our major rivals in the league has made a signicant addition.

If the club has the opportunity to buy a player that will improve the squad and see’s value in the transfer they’ll make it. We saw that last summer. I have no doubt that if they do they’ll be welcomed by every fan. But the constant moaning over the lack of signings is tiring. The comparisons with the 2014 side are tenuous at best, it’s a much younger squad that isn’t nearly as reliant on one player. They’ll be natural improvement regardless and some signings from last season are still being bedded in.

Which of our rivals has made a significant signing already? I’m not being funny genuinely, I can’t remember who it is.

I can’t believe people do this every year where they complain about our lack of activity in June! It’s far from time to panic and is sheer impatience. Even one of our rivals has made 1 significant signing, the other 5 haven’t.

We are the topmost team in europe not top4. We won the competition that decides that.

{Ed025's Note - maybe being the top side in your own country is the next goal akshit..

OP I may be lost here BUT could you elaborate as to which fans re saying the we don't need to sign any players this season cos I can't think of anyone who has said that. Neither here or on other LFC fan forums I have visited?
