United will need to spend £200m+ just to stand still. Will they come higher than 6th if they sign Maguire, Rice and Maddison? I don't particularly think so.

I think with those three signings, they'll pretty much finish where they just have done.

I know it sounds crass, but signing Maguire and Maddison would be good business competitively as it may halt Leicester's charge to become a top 6 team.

Both Wolves and Leicester are proving that they're going to try to break into the big teams club. Leicester should really try to hold onto those two players or absolutely rinse any potential buyer so that they can replace them with better.

If one of those two break the top 6, who is going to lose out? Arsenal? Spurs? Chelsea? Maybe one of those but unless Man Utd have a very good transfer window, it is they who are in most danger of dropping to 7th or below.

Epic. To be honest I think wan biaska and maddison will be huge signings for united. Not a fan of Maguire to be honest and especially at the price that's being quoted. Talks of aubameyang going there too. Hell of a signing that would be. They are still miles behind us city spurs but they will be back sooner rather than later (hopefully later) .

I don't think Leiester have any ambitions next year, as they have a Manager with a Poor Track Record?

I agree potato they’re in the situation we were in when Rodgers first joined. No too class players will want to join unless for money as success is very far away

I’m loving it tbh mate.

I can forsee many years of struggle for UTD coming up. Does not matter who or how many players they sign.

Their problems run deep. Ferguson will not even be able to save them right now.

United are one of the biggest clubs In the world and the financial muscle to prove. They can buy almost anyone. If the club get its act together then they will be in the mix. Make no mistake about it.

Irish Rover its "ALL OVER!

P. S. you are not giving much respect to Newcastle and Sheffield, as they too are United. man united fans always like to be called united as if they are the only ones that is why when i mention them i always put man utd because it means they not the only united and they don't like that, gets up there noses, which reminds me who has a big purple one! and i mean noses?

Irish, they resigned Pogba, singed Sanchez who was one of the best forwards in the EPL and even signed Lukaku.

Where did that get them?

Now they signed Daniel James.

UTD are all over the show at the moment. They can sign whoever they want. They not going to sign top stars with a rebuilding project.

As it is, Ole has a full season ahead of him now. He struggled towards the end of the season.

If the likes of Pogba stays at UTD this coming season then it is end game for UTD this coming season.

Personally I think united is an enormous job and at the moment I would say one of the toughest jobs in the league requiring a manager with equal parts ambition and determination.

I don't think ole is assertive or experienced enough for this job. I think he'll be sacked by November.

Its going to be a case of He Who Hesitates this season. United need to rebuild pretty much from scratch to compete with the top 6. Spurs can't afford another season without investing in the squad and even Chelsea and Arsenal are 3/ 4 players away from challenging Liverpool and City.
If Manchester United want to get back into the CL and compete for domestic honours again they need to get a move on with it. Unfortunately for them, they don't have a top, top manager to squeeze extra performances out of their mediocre first team. Its a tad pitiful to be honest.

Its always been tough since fergie left. Echoes of liverpool in the 90s. It took us a long time to get back to winning big things. We had the treble season, the odd cup success and now two more European cups.
