Morning Ed,
Thanks for the read.
If rumours are true then we will see Neymar return to Barcelona, this summer.

The reported deal will be €100m + Dembele, Umtiti or Rakitic. This would be absolutely mental if it happens!

Have a good one!

{Ed001's Note - you too mate.}

Thank you Tris, great read as always.

Such a moving story re James Maddison - nice to see there are some players who think of more than just themselves. Would be good for other footballers to use their boots to promote a cause - boots get bought by people watching and the cause gets more publicity and support.

Totti, for all that he was a great player, seems a trifle deluded! Surely the people to be £put in charge of everything" should be the ones best qualified for the job, not the ones who have been there the longest! I'm sure that there's two sides to every argument, but he's coming across as a bit of a 'Titti'!

Hope Ojo can do well with Stevie G. I read a few days ago (can't remember where) that Ojo had been offered a new 5 year deal? Is that true, and in which case, do the club see a future for him at Liverpool or are they trying to protect their investment?

{Ed001's Note - he signed a new 5 year deal already. Investment protection only.}

Cheers Ed, does it annoy you to write about Neymar as much as it annoys me to read about him? everything I read about the kid bloody winds me up! horrible little bast*rd! . Anyway have a good day mate!

{Ed001's Note - yes to be honest. He is extremely irritating.}

i worked for a well known company (nothing to do with football) for 10 years and turned down opportunities to leave for more money because I was happy, earning a good wage and felt loyalty towards the company. Two years ago there was a change in senior management and I was made redundant. I’m still looking for something alternative now and whilst I am getting by I do wonder whether my loyalty was misguided all those years when I could have got a far better paid job.

This is what Bowyer and other players / managers face. Of course their salaries are 100 times higher but when they know their jobs are precarious and new employment is not guaranteed should they not look to sell themselves when their stock is high?

{Ed001's Note - Bowyer is scum, he should not be working in the game anyway. He has no need of the money, he made millions out of his career, despite Charlton (and other clubs) having to spend significant money to keep him out of jail. It is pure greed in his case.}

Maybe i'm getting confused in my old age but didn't we come very close to buying Bowyer? Not sure when it was or which manager was in place at the time but I for one am glad we didn't. Horrible individual.

{Ed001's Note - yes we did, but he kept asking for more money.}

I absolutely love James Maddison and I don't care who knows about it! ❤️😁
An amazing footballer AND human being? Who would have thought?!

Agreed Ed mate, irritating is being very kind hahaha!

Hope life is treating you well Ed.

{Ed001's Note - I am known for my kindness. Admittedly only by myself, but still that's something.

Life is good mate, how are things with you?}

Glad to hear that mate and yes very good thank you Ed, got a hell of a lot going on at the moment but no complaints, things are just busy as hell. I suppose its a good thing what with there been no football and all! My days are going very quick so August will be here in no time lol. Take care mate.

{Ed001's Note - we are already halfway through June!}

Fair play to Maddison. I hope he represents well in the tournament. Thank you for that Ed. We need more feel good stories. Have a great day.

{Ed001's Note - I always look for those kind of stories but they are not so easy to find, often players don't want publicity for actions like this.}

Like maddison as a player too.

Cheers ed01, good read. I know you don't allow swearing on here but if i had to use one word to describe neymar it would be "prick"

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate, does seem a bit mild for Neymar though.}

Cheers Ed001, appreciate the updates. Pallotta is way out of his depth and far too arrogant to realise.

Is anyone actually remotely interested in signing that vile twit Neymar this summer? I'd be very surprised. Injuries, tax fraud, rape allegations and the smarmy head on him, surely no club wants to take on all that crap?

I don’t know why anyone would give Bowyer a job in the first place.
