Hi Ed001, Ed002 and fellow Reds, I know (strictly speaking) this isn't solely a Liverpool question but I was wondering what you think of Mino Raiola. Is he good for the game? Is he even any good for a player's career? He most certainly gets his players good deals (way out of the norm) but does his strategy actually benefit players and their career hopes? As far as I can tell from his list of clients, he is good at wages but often causes a player to totally stagnate in their own development.

On another front I think his kind of huge demands (apparently PSG are willing to pay Mattijs de Ligt around £350k per week) will only get worse and this has a cascade effect throughout the football world that surely cannot be supported by financial realities. This is only my opinion. what do you guys/ gals think?

{Ed002's Note - Mino does far more that straight football agent work and is one of the best facilitators for clubs and players out there. There is no measure of whether or not he is "good for the game". He is not the cause of any stagnation in the game. I don't want to comment on the money at all.}

Thank you for the reply Ed002 it's always illuminating to hear from you.

{Ed002's Note - A few of the "high end" agents or representatives, such as Mino, undertake work for clubs in addition to hawking players around - and this can extend as far as finding buyers for clubs.}

At the end of the day, the professional footballer is responsible for his performance. Pogba, mkhitaryan, balotelli, not minos fault they have disappointed on the field. I do hope that De ligt doesn't go to psg though for sake of his career. Always wondered how thiago Silva would have fared in a top league.
