I see the Echo are at it again this morning stating that we will not be returning for Fekir this summer. Despite Ed's explaining it is possible. It's the only Paper I read up until this point but from now on I'm not reading it! He almost everything wrong and contradict themselves most of the time.

Personally, I don't6 think we will get Fekir even tho, it is possible that Klopp may still go in for him. I don't think Lyon and that owner of theirs will want to deal with us again after last season esp. again, sine we are interested in another Lyon player in the person of Maxwell Cornet, a wide forward.

I think it has less to do with Fekir and Lyon's owner, and more to do with the direction and style of play Klop wants to pursue next season. We've done relatively okay without a designated AM this season, and Ox and Keita provide good options to fill in for the role when needed. Perhaps Klopp sees it as more important to shore up the forwards/ wingers ranks than a designated AM?

I was one of those clamoring for a creative AM earlier in the season. But then you can't argue with success; UCL Champion and second in the EPL is unquestionable success. No point in fixing what is not broken.

What do you mean the echo isn’t cutting edge journalism that have countless of independent reporters perpetually investigating the truth!?

They just regurgitate what most of the rags report.

But fekir is far from a simple central 10. He has often played in wider areas and was originally a striker. He could play bobbys role perfect too when needed. The likes of Werner and pepe offer much less balance in being able to cover left right or deeper.

Great assessment of Fekir, Har_red92. If Klopp wants Fekir to play out wide (tho pace is not his game) or through the middle cos well, he was a CF (now plays in the 10 in a 4-4-2 diamond) then Klopp knows something I don't.

You need to stop taking things so black and white. There's lots and lots of grey in the rumours game the eds will tell you stuff they know varies between the Ed, ed1 says trent will probably play midfield ed2 says ed1 says that in a clear hint he doesn't think so. Which one is right? Nobody knows until it happens or it doesn't. Eds and macca regularly disagree with what they know and the only thing they all agree on is that they are all itk. If the echo says it won't happen and it does you know they spoke without knowing. If the eds say oooh it might happen you never know then if it does happen you can point back to that post 3 months ago and say they knew all along and the reality is somewhere inbetween. Imo the only one to really stick his head on the block is macca and he's had it chopped so many times I can see why the eds don't go so far as to say x is signing or x is a done deal.
