Eds, hi.

Apologies if this has been covered, I've used search a number of times to look this up the last few weeks but can't find anything going back several screens.

When talking about the likes of Pepe, Dybala, and others it has been suggested one of the front three would have to move.

I gather Salah's agent has tried to get a move to Real as that is the player's dream move - or something to that effect - or Juve (less clear to me why he would want to move there) .

Mane I gather has been considered by Real and PSG, although it's not clear to me if the player would want to move to either - or anywhere else for that matter.

I've read nothing of Firmino either wanting a move or being wanted by another team.

If you could, I would be grateful to hear what Firmino's situation is, and if Mane is considering a move?

Much thanks in anticipation, sorry if its been covered already. Still such a great site after all these years.

PS, seeing as English teams have done relatively well the last few seasons, what are the various ED's views on English teams, Liverpool and City specifically, becoming the dream move of top players where RM and Barcelona have been for so many years?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of interest in Firmino and I doubt any will end up moving this summer. Manchester City are struggling with players like Sane, Jesus and others wanting out because they don’t want to be used in rotation then you will see that moving to such sides is not always top of the list.}

Thanks Ed2.

Will be interesting to see, then, how things will pan out for Citeh, if they can no longer have "2 players for every position".

{Ed002's Note - Nobody has said they cannot have two players for every position.}

They’d make a profit on both and just buy more. Bit of a merry go round but all clubs do it. They just do it with payers that would start in most other teams.

But the point is city signed sane and Jesus as young teens just after breakthrough seasons. They didn't sign these guys as proven quality guaranteed starts. With the current inflation in market I'd say those 2 players value hasn't improved much. If city have to replace them, it's no different to our situation. Pepe, dybala etc won't be interested in competing with sterling similar to salah. Top class strikers will want to be promised agueros spot and not want to be understudy. Sane and Jesus were kids who were hoped to gradually be the first choices. After a few years they have yet to cement their spots but will not want to continue as back ups. City don't sign proven top back up players like we suggest, yes they spent high on full backs but otherwise mahrez is the only signing that was high price for a player not guaranteed a start spot.
