With Moreno and Sturridge off the wage bill it has freed up some space. One thing is for sure, we do not need an overhaul of the squad. We need Milie to give us another season.

We need cover at LB. We are stocked in midfield. We need backup if Migs leaves.

So another versatile forward, LB, possibly RB and we will be sorted.

Ox will be like a new signing. Origi has proven his worth.

Cannot see more than 3 players being added this coming window.

Well said. A creative forward who can cover a few positions and cover for the full backs (particularly at left back) would be great window. Assuming we don't lose anyone significant. Really excited to see what kind of impact Brewster and the Ox can make this season, they've both kept up fantastic spirits despite their injury woes.

Not ideal but millie and gomez can both cover LB.

We have just earned 250 million that's without player sales, think we can have a little bit of retail therapy, its needed creativity in midfield an cover left an right back, an back up keeper, I am interested too see wst the club does .

{Ed002's Note - That money is used to do things like pay for operations, wages, debt - you need to think the bigger picture.}

Why do people think that's an extra 250m to the money we generate every year? Take the PL money, we earned 150m in total but its up a little on last year but not an extra 150m, its like my salary going from 50-60k a year and thinking I can buy a 60k merc. Lads need to use a bit of common sense.

No mate I don't think just cos we have 250 mill plus player sales that we can blow it all on players an I also wouldn't want us too spend recklessly, I would be jus as happy with bargain gems that slot into the squad, I would of thought we could get away with spending around 100 million, cos we do need too strengthen creativity in midfield an cover at left an right back at least too take another step forward next season .

Spot on OP - Either way it looks like us vs. city again next year. City have lost Kompany (big loss), Aguero a year older and not quite as brilliant, Sane probably gone, etc etc. we are more settled, younger and seem (from the outside anyway) a happier camp.

The point being, we only need a bit of tweaking and we can achieve similar to last season whilst I believe city won’t be quite as good. And we’re so far ahead of the other clubs that they’ll take 1-2 seasons to catch up. So let’s not get carried away with transfers - lfc will sort the necessary changes. Not being cocky whatsoever but for once in a long time it looks like we don’t need to change much, just go again! YNEWA.

There's a reason why we don't discuss money on this forum, according to the Ed's. Here is the reason why.

We don't need to spend money just because we can. This summer is a rare transfer window where no glaring weakness needs money to solve. Behind the scenes can get extra finance support and the growing of the club as a whole should be aided. As maxlfc stated, subtle tweaks and strengthening doesn't need to break the bank. Our high wage and agent fees often get overlooked and we spent big last summer. Our big spend was a huge success meaning this year we don't need it. We have a young core of players and a seemingly happy squad. City last year got 100 points, they didn't lose any key player so only signed mahrez. Pep was happy with his players for another year so didn't mess with a winning formula. They didn't drop their standards despite de bruyne missing large chunks and won the domestic treble. We got 97 points and champs of Europe. Best ever Liverpool team in 30 years, why try to fix what's not broken. Even if we had 1 billion to spend this summer, it wouldn't be wise move to splash it . We are in a nice position currently. Invest some extra money into youth development for example and keep the club progressing from within.
