Cheers Ed. Seems like a lot of news over the last 24hrs. Just when I thought Neymar couldn't get any worse he's in the news again. can't see how any club would want anything to do with him. Have a good day mate.

{Ed001's Note - he is innocent until proven guilty, but the injuries are mounting up, so that would put me off if I was looking for a signing.}

I can't stand Neymar and it's no secret but I really think in this case it's someone trying to make a few quid. IF he has done it and it's proven then he's finished, I just can't see it, we've seen too much like this in the past, people making up nonsense and look at it as an opportunity to make a few quid.

Anyway, thanks Ed hope you have a. Good day mate.

{Ed001's Note - I don't want to make a judgement personally, I don't have enough evidence to judge either party on.}

So brasil might actually win it eh ed01?

{Ed001's Note - maybe but can't see it with the team they have. They are nothing like the Brazil of old.}

Thanks Ed!

In your opinion who will win Copa America? Brazil must surely still be the favourites?

{Ed001's Note - Uruguay are a good shout.}

Seems to have been a big drop off in quality between the Copa America teams and the European teams in recent times do you think Ed?

Much more stronger european teams I would say personally.

{Ed001's Note - the main difference is that the South American teams no longer spend a long time together in the build up to tournaments. Brazil spent 6 months as a team ahead of the 1970 World Cup for instance. They no longer have that edge and the superior organisation of European teams is enough to make a difference.}

Well, once again “Brits abroad” culture spreads over into football and ruins things for everyone else. Louts who only want to go and get drunk in the sun, sing outdated songs and cause trouble find their way over and simply by putting on an England shirt or hanging around the England fans make the rest of us (I mean all English - fans or not) look like c****. Nice one. The only things that annoy me about this world are people.

Speaking of annoying people, at least when this is all over Neymar will be able to open a little bar somewhere in darkest Manaus and tell stories to wandering traveller folk of flicking a ball over someone’s head, running round them then throwing himself to the ground, over and over and over.

Intresting Ed. I wasn't around back in the 60's, 70's, 80's but I do think international football sounded bigger and more interesting back in those days. I wonder if that's why.

Thanks Ed, have a good day.

{Ed001's Note - in part yes. It mattered more to players then too as it made the difference in their careers and earnings.}
