Ed 001 what's your take on Salah? With ed 002 repeatedly saying he's trying to get a move to Madrid does this not bother you? Would you not rather get rid now and a replacement as soon as possible? Or is he too good? I feel with the position we are in right now we could get any replacement we wanted.

{Ed001's Note - if he goes, he goes. If he stays he stays. That's it.}

' I feel with the position we are in right now we could get any replacement we wanted'

Agreed when it comes down to attackers or midfielders but for VVD or Alisson we can't replace them two, they're far too crucial for this team and the best in the world at what they do.

100% with Ed001. Like Coutinho, if Salah wants to go then so be it.

The club must be aware so I would expect they are keeping their eyes open for promising wingers if he should decide to go.

If he decides to go and if Madrid are prepared to pay the ludicrous amount of money it would take to buy him.

I'm not sure some players understand what Klopp does for their game. I honestly feel the way we play the style, intensity, work rate etc etc hides a lot of their individual flaws.

As a unit we are amazing and yes we have some world class players, but look at the amount of Klopp managed players truly excelled after leaving his teams.

Players are transient, the last few years we have lost Suarez, Sterling and Coutinho but we are a much better team now than then.
If Salahs agent is really pushing for Madrid, then sell and replace him.

Totally agree with Ed001 regarding Salah and also as Ed002 has always said players are transient they come and go. I think that ever since Couthino went I have realised finally that if a player really wants to leave Liverpool then they will do whatever it takes to move and that's a fact of football life lad's.

Not too bothered about players leaving anymore. Salah is the most replaceable of the front 3. Sell him for 160-180 million pounds and sign Nicolas Pepe as a replacement. We will still have a lot of money left over which can be used to sign another CAM/ versatile forward like Fekir/ Fernandes/ Depay which will make our squad even more stronger.
Tbh though, don't think Salah will in the first place.

I can't see why he'd want to leave and I'd be hugely disappointed if he did leave, as he's a top quality player and would no doubt be difficult to replace but we're in a good place as a team at the moment and if we were to lose one of our best players, we have the pull and Klopp and Edwards, to get us a suitable replacement. If Salah leaves for Madrid, we should go all out for Mbappe, only player I could see being as good or even better than Salah from the word go. If he's not attainable then we should go for Nicolas Pepe.

Agree with Ed. I'd be worried if it was Bobby as he, in my opinion, is a lot harder to replace than Salah. That being said, I can't see Salah leaving. At least not this window.

Alisson, VVD, Mane, Bobby, Hendo and Salah are almost irreplaceable.

If any of them leaves then yes we will find a way to cope but it will definitely make us go backwards for a little while.

Coutinho got injured and was so inconsistent that our play was not dependent on him anymore once Salah and Ox arrived and settled. But Mane and Salah are so central to our team now that it's impossible to not go backwards, at least momentarily, if one was to leave.

Sly reporting that Man U want to sign him too. I’m sort of resigned to the fact that we may lose him, but it would be for a huge fee so he is replaceable (although would much rather keep him) but why on earth would he even want to go to Man U unless it’s purely for money (and would we let him?! )

don't think replacing him will be that easy. Scoring goals is the hardest thing to do in football and he does it for us. I don't see Madrid paying what we want for him. And after what happened with Couthino don't think players will think they can push us around and not sure other clubs will think we are a push over anymore. I know not a lot of clubs don't like to deal with daniel levy because he is hard to deal with. And Barcelona I think feel they have been stung and other teams will have taken note. All so I think if Madrid are looking at spending that much on a player there is a couple at PSG that would rather have.

Really can't see Liverpool allowing him to go to United, it just doesn't happen. The last player to transfer between the 2 clubs was Phil Chisnall in 1964, when the rivalry was not as fierce as it is now.

I don't remember Salah scoring 40 goals in a season for any of his previous teams. Like Coutinho, he might find it is the managers system and tactics plus his current teammates that have helped him fulfill his potential.
Stick him in a team of prima donnas with a different playing style and he might start looking less of a player. Conversely, stick Pepe alongside Firmino and Mane and he might score more than he ever has previously.

Salah has just won the golden boot 2 years running.

I wouldn’t sell him for all the money in the world, unless he requested to leave.

Not irreplaceable. But not easy to replace at all.
