So now the confetti has been swapped up and I'm almost back to normal I thought I would post something that has been in my mind for a while. It's about Hendo. I felt so proud of him Saturday. Having to live for years with the chants comparing him as an inferior Steven Gerrard when he was what he is, an outstanding Jordan Henderson. He looked at times like he never felt worthy of the arm band, but he is our skipper and one of only 5 to lift that trophey. And that moment with his dad at the end, even the most stoical of supporters would have had a tear in thier eye with that. So well done skip, you deserve it.

Couldn't agree more. I watched that video and it was just so pure and emotional. One of the most special moments of the night. He is an absolute professional on and off the field by the sounds of it, and just a great guy. I'm proud of him and glad he's our captain.

2 things about hendo, the way he ran over and defended Robbo from messi brilliant. And the rubbish he has put up with from us ( we all been guilty) With what’s been going on in his personal life deserves every plaudit bestowed on him. Absolute rock.

Agree - great post. I’m thrilled for Hendo and Milner in particular to have won this trophy. Both incredible professionals, who may not have the glamour of some of the global stars, but have given their all for this team and been absolutely key to setting the culture of the squad.

Hendo vs Pogba is an reflection of everything that’s right with the Liverpool squad and wrong with Man Utd right now.

He is in no way deserving of the criticism he gets, he's a great leader, person and a team player. He is also a good player, unfortunately his ability is often undersold due to him playing in a position where he is less effective for a number of years, as we had nobody else for the role. Now that we've got Fabinho, we're seeing the real Jordan Henderson.

I think Hendo is a great captain not as good as a footballer as Gerrard but a different captain a lot more vocal and you don't get as many player like that anymore. But I do think Gerrard was a match winner but did empty the midfield sometimes and was more of an attacking midfielder where Hendo is more of a Central midfielder Gerrard at his best was playing number 10 role behind Torres where hendo is best as a number 8. I think Hendo would be even better if he believes in his self more and does not listen to the boo boys. His passing is very good and he needs grab the games more and start dictating them more.

Agreed, I was pleased for Hendo more than anyone as he has taken a lot of abuse off some so called fans. Unfortunately for him he joined Liverpool at a time when Gerrard was coming to the end, so he has been directly compared to Gerrard which is unfair, as he was a true world class player.

We play totally different to the stevie g days now. Im sure gerrard wpuld have been brilliant in this 3. But he isnt.

Jordan henderson has finally won something massive. He is a model pro, a complete footballer if you like. Has been so important for this team

Anyone who doubts his ability needs to study the art of the midfielder. He is one of the best.
