I did the Stadium Tour today and I really enjoyed it. Tour Guide Terry made it most enjoyable. I really enjoyed the museum visit as well I either didn't know or had forgotten that Liverpool are the only team in UK with an original Champions League trophy in our possession as all the rest are replicas. You have to win 5 to be given an original. Bumped in to John Barnes on the way out. He has lost some weight.

I remember bumping into John Barnes at the Conti club (does that still exist? ) . I shook his hand and said "Hey John, you're not as fat as you look on the telly". He said "thanks for that, mate". I'm not sure he was genuinely thanking me.

Did the tour in April. Was ace, did the legends Q and A with Terry McDermott was great to hear his memories through out his career at the club. definitely worth the £40 would like to do it again and maybe get Phil Thompson in the legend question and answer, be good to hear his thoughts on the Gerard houllier team.

Did the legends at xmas with Alan Kennedy he’d just got there from a legends night out still bevvied and so the language was occasionally a bit fruity but good value! Well worth it if you can afford the extra outlay.

I took my dad on a Melwood tour a few years ago, don’t know if they still do it or not but would highly recommend it, especially before they move out of there. Got on one of those fancy coaches they travel on from Anfield to the training ground, got a great look around at the facilities, canteen etc etc then back on the bus to Anfield. Was a great day and got to see some things you wouldn’t think, like Martin Kelly working out in the gym 😂.

Nice one langland especially about the trophy. One tip though: avoid bumping into fat people because as a fat person myself I can tell you bumping into them can cause a lot of damage.

Not only are we the only UK team with an original trophy but they only give out replicas now, regardless of how many have been. I believe (please correct me if im wrong) we are the last team (and final) team in europe to receive an original trophy.
