No longer will the Utd fixtures be the first I look for. This city rivalry is going to become intense.

A club with no history that has 6 league titles, 6 FA cups and 6 League Cups?

Like it or lump it, they have made history. 8 of those trophies came before the cash influx. You don't have to show them attention but the first step to overhauling them in the next few years is at the very least showing them respect.

I agree with you MK. Like it or lump it what City have done last few years is immense. I can be as bitter as anyone and bang in about size if our club and Our history but City are the team to beat. This season we have been the closest to them and pushed them all the way in the league, let’s hope there domination doesn’t continue over the next few years. We need to push on and compete in every level and competition next season.

To be honest I've been very disappointed with how the City fans are behaving over their success this season. I used to have a lot of time for them but their more obnoxious element - and I know they exist at most other clubs - seems to have gone on a social media rampage the past week or so.

I fully disagree, OP and MK. It's NOT about being bitter, history or whether it wins you anything or not. History is ONLY there for you to learn from and recognize it for what it is esp. if it is as rich as that of LFC. You don't use that to go on the field as some kind of badge of honor or entitlement as that is just stupid and counterproductive. This is what Klopp has eradicated from this club, thankfully.

Regarding City, I acknowledge their success for what it is, nothing more. I see them as a team that is standing in our way to PL glory, end of story. They are not a rival, IMO. How are they our rivals when even when they win, they their insecure manager esp. still bitching as to why his team get no respect and never stops talking about us? I mean, we are living rent free in their heads, it's so creepy. Only Everton fans can be compared to this lot and they don't even win a corner kick.

City are simply a team and club that the Sheikhs in the UAE picked to plunge all their money into to prop themselves up globally. Remember, they wanted to do this at LFC too BUT the Moores rebuffed them, THANKFULLY. The government of Qatar did the same thing at PSG and even now, they have become the BIGGEST running joke in France esp. after the dreadful season they have had domestically and in Europe.

I take them as what they are, an average club funded by a country's government (like anyone can compete with that) that wins trophies, period. And the fact that we were able to push them all the way to the end of the season and came up short by one point, is a glowing testament to the job or boys and Klopp did.

What type of rival would act like complete, insecure sore "winners" after winning the treble? That is not a rival, IMO. That is just a whierd and creepy bunch who need help. Even the Bitters don't act that way.
