Ed is it true that brandts release clause is now removed due to BL qualifying for europe?

{Ed002's Note - There was no release clause applicable to Liverpool in any way.}

Yeah but if it was able to be used by other clubs it would have surely limited his team's asking price to an extent for other interested clubs. Do you know if it is now void though?

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you are talking about, sorry. I have explained that there was never any "release clause" that Liverpool could use.}

Ok well I clearly said other clubs, not Liverpool.

I think what har's trying to say is that if a german side (bayern for example) were offering the £21m in his clause an English side (lets say Liverpool) wouldn't have to be offering mega money compared to it, just better it by a few mill, say £25m. simplistic maybe but would that be the case if Lfc were interested?

{Ed002's Note - It doesn't work like that.}

It was irrelevant to anyone outside the their division, now they are in the champions league, it is irrelevant completely.

But surely if Leverkusen had n offer of £21m from Bayern on the table, no one else had bid and they were about to give the go ahead to accepting the offer. Then at the last minute a foreign side offered £25m would they not rather make the extra £4m while avoiding strenghtening their biggest obstacle in actually winning something.

{Ed002's Note - No, it does not work like that. Move on.}

Brandt's release clause did not apply to clubs outside of Germany, just like Bobbie's release clause at Hoffenhiem (14m euros/ pound, I'm not sure) did not apply to us when we signed him cos he cost 29m pound with all types of add-ons. How hard is this to comprehend, really?

Havertz has to be our No.1 target from Leverkusen anyway.

Little naby that's what I was trying to say, . Redwolf you ask how hard is it to comprehend? You've completely missed the point of my question.

{Ed002's Note - So I will re-iterate, it really doesn't work like that at all.}

Har, Ed02 already said that the "release clause" does not apply to Liverpool in any way. Seems pretty straight-forward answer hence my question.
