Hi eds,

Is a de ligt move to barça almost certain now? Seen numerous posts saying it is effectively confirmed

If so it's a shame, I'd have loved to see him in Liverpool red (wishful thinking)

{Ed002's Note - De Ligt wasn’t ever going to move to Liverpool.}

I like De Ligt, think he looks a decent player. But I don't think he is by any means any better than Gomez (although he is a few years younger) - would rather we focus on his partnership with VVD and improve elsewhere.

Apparently he's a really good guy and all the ladies adore him. you could say he's a Bird's Angel De Ligt!

Immediate apologies to anyone offended :o)

I'll get me coat!

De Ligt can go to Barca. We don't need him at all. GOmez, VVD and Matip are pretty formidable imo and we have all seen that Fabinho is a pretty solid CB as well.
Let's get in a full back and a forward (not named Mbappe or GRiezmann) before wetting ourselves with thoughts of De Ligt and other luxury signings.

So you don’t reckon he’s the answer to our problems then, Dod? He’s NOT de Ligt at de end of de tunnel?!?

Hold that taxi, my coat’s already on!

As good as Gomez is, I’d be De Ligt’d if he joined.

I preferred the tabloid headline of "control alt de ligt"
