OK, its fantasy transfer time!

Imagine you had an unlimited pot of money, and the opportunity to pick up 5 players ONLY from other (current i. e. including the relegated ones, not including those coming up next season) Premier League teams, who would you choose and why?

Remember, don't just pick superstars, cos they'll start getting bored if you can't offer the game time, so they have to be reasonably realistic.

My picks would be:

Ryan Sessegnon - great cover for LB and LWB, much more experience than, say, Adam Lewis, but not necessarily a blocker as Ryan could play further up in cup games etc and give Lewis chances at LB.

Asmir Begovic - plenty of PL pedigree and he would be a decent backup to Alisson, IMO.

Conor Coady - I would replace, probably, Lovren (on current form) with Conor. A local boy and has developed well into a rotation CB alongside VVD.

Jiminez - great cover across the front 3 and would get game time.

Kante - I know we've got Fab, but I'd love to help Kante re-find his world class form! And with Hendo and Milly nearer the end than the start of their careers, between Kante, Fab, Ox, Keita and Gini, we've got a great midfield for a few years to come.

I know they are (largely) unachieveable, but these are the ones I would pick from the EPL.

My rotation for the front 3 would therefore come from Jiminez, Sessengnon, Origi and the Ox.

What do you reckon? Eds also, if you aren't afraid of jinxing anything!

Maddison - would help add some extra quality with the final ball and seems a hard worker

Wan bissaka - seems like a quality player for his age and could orabaky cover both full back positions

Sessegnon - for all the reasons said already

Hudson adoi - can cover both wings, young, talented and has the pace we like in our front three

Zaha - one of the best players outside the top six has had his problems and not sure if he has a good attitude or not but very skilful and can play not just both wings but i could see him playing through the middle as the false 9 when Bobby isn't there.

Begovic be good backup,

Sessegnon be good option for LW and LB

Kante is world class but I'd feel guilty dropping fabinho so no

I'd add Bernardo Silva as my first pick, a creative genius in that 10 role and he also works his socks off

Azpilicueta too to compete for right side of defence, versatile and experienced defender

Felipe Anderson to add quality depth to the attack.

Actually would have picked the exact same 5 as you doctor strange, except I would go Heaton for sessegnon to make my 5.

Nick Pope, Reece James, Bernardo Silva, Ampadu and Ryan Sessegnon.

If purely fantasy I would take, i've tried to fill positions were we need to strengthen;

Sane, wan bissaka (long term, short term competition for Trent, before taa moves into midfield) chilwell, son and a keeper probably someone like caballero, towards end of career and may accept being a mentor type role within the club.

I know not realistic but no harm in dreaming.

So we're playing fantasy boy's and you buy begovic. you lack imagination. I bet you drive a Prius lol.
Verratti
Sessegnon
Maddison
Koulibaly
Isco.

5 is too many. I wouldn't want to upset the apple cart. It really depends who leaves as well. I'll assume for the sake of this that from the current first team Mignolet, Moreno, Lallana, Milner and Sturridge leave and none of the loan players return.

In that scenario I'd go for Tom Heaton, Ricardo Pereira and David Brooks; promoting Rhian Brewster and Curtis Jones to more prominent roles.

Redphil, only 2 of yours play in the EPL.

Read much? Or too busy on your BMX?

😂😂.

Alderweireld would be in there.
Son
Wan Bisaka

That would do me 👍.

Azplicueta, reliable all round, can add cover for the full backs and centre halves.

Bernardo silva. For me, he makes city tick, works hard, and a great player. Can add creativity in the midfield and play wide.

Begovic to cover backup goalkeeper.

I think that’s it.

Romero from united as backup GK
V. Bissaka from Palace for Right side
D. Brooks or Madison as AM
R. Sessegon for Left side.
Jimenez for firmino backup.

MK Scouser - not sure I agree with you on Curtis Jones. He seems to lost the ball in dangerous places too many times by overcooking it. Plus his work rate off the ball leaves something to be desired at times - its like he switches off and goes off into his own dream world. He has great skill and can do some amazing things but I reckon he is a long way off being ready for our bench.
On Brewster - is it just me or does he seem to have lost some pace since he came back? He certainly doesn't seem to be accelerating as well as he used to - it might just be him being tentative about putting the foot down but I really hope the injury hasn't affected him.

I'll go for
Begovic as back up GK
Ricardo Pereira as back up RB/ LB
Conor Coady to replace Lovren as backup CB
James Maddison
Felipe Anderson

Son/ Sane/ Bernardo Silva all seem like players that won't want to sit on the bench for extended periods.

Good shouts there, realtofel. The difficulty is thinking about who wouldn’t be unhappy (rather than “would be happy” as no player would be happy! ) to provide squad depth and not be a guaranteed starter.

Didn’t think of Pereira and Maddison could provide some good depth in midfield over my pick of Kante (who will probably want to start anyway) .

I still think Jiminez would be a better fit than Anderson, but just my view.
