Well Luis sewage was right when he said he would not celebrate at Anfield. Think Barcelona would have done better if they played couts.

It puts to bed any resounding goodwill any fans should have for the player at this point imo. His behavior was typical of who he is. I’ve no issue with his celebrations and there’s nothing wrong with passion but ugh, the diving, the calling for cards, the nasty kick out at Robertson. Just a reminder of what he was like at the club.

A lot of us had those red tinted lenses when he played for us but the guy is a disgrace. I don’t want him anywhere near our club even if he was a free transfer and on the lowest wages!

I agree but let’s not rewrite history entirely. He pulled all the same tricks when he was playing for us and was loved for it by many (most? ) Liverpool fans, including me. It all looks so different when he is viewed as an opposition player, rather than one of our own.

Wirral, he was an excellent footballer for us, and still is a good one, but he is a disgusting human being, even when he played for us, he caused the club many embarrassment.

Suarez is a fantastic player but he has the moral compass of an alley cat. Always has. And to think we used to defend him at his worst. Shows love is blind.

{Ed0333's Note - not sure Suarez still is a fantastic player, I think he was one. He’s very ‘costa-esque’ if he’s on you’re team you advocate for him till you bleed and if he’s an opposition player he’s the pantomime villain.

Spot on, WW. Suarez did the exact dirty tricks while he was here with us and I am one of those who defended him. I will say, I did not defend him on the biting incident as that was just reprehensible and creepy. Had we won the PL that 13/ 14 season, all would have been forgiven and swept away. IMO, Suarez was a phenomenal footballer with us. That does not remove from the fact that he was a complete disgrace and a stain on this club.

He got Sir Kenny sacked as he lied to KK about the whole Evra situation. He told Sir K that he would shake Evra's hand and he did not. Suarez only cares about himself and has ONLY cared about himself and dragged Sir K's and LFC's name thru the mud just to get a move to Arsenal of all people and that was there for all to see last night. I hope I never see this true piece of work (along with his petulant, treacherous sidekick Coutinho) at Anfield again.

{Ed0333's Note - Fowler called him out last night and said he doesn’t know why the Liverpool fans idolize him so much because he tried engineering a move away from the club. Fowler went on to say and I’m paraphrasing now that Owen has done more for Liverpool than most fans know and doesn’t get the supporters adulation. Playing for man united probably doesn’t help Owens cause Robbie lol.

I supported suarez when he was eating defenders, but truth be told, if he had been a utd player i wouldve been calling for him to be banned. Did you see the way he slunk off last night.

Anyway, barca? Barcelona who (good move pipco by the way, bet your so pleased ypu pushed so hard to leave. Since you left we have made 2 cl finals)

Words can't express what happened last night, well, they probably could but im still all over the place. I don't live in liverpool but i wouldn't be surprised if anfield heard me when divok scored his second. i've lost my voice.

Fair play to the utd fans giving their respect. I cheered all those years ago when ole scored against munich tbh.

Ed, I guess Fowler should have just quit while he was ahead, lol.

{Ed0333's Note - yes but it was an interesting because allegedly Owen preferred to play with Heskey over Fowler and made that known to Houllier effectively ending Fowler’s time at the club but judging by robbies comments he bears no malice. I would throw the poisoned dwarf head first off the gantry.

Do the fans idolize Luis though, Ed? All i could hear on the TV last night was 60,000 people chanting ‘Fck off Luis Suarez’.

{Ed0333's Note - Yes I think he was revered by the majority of the Liverpool fans until the game at camp nou last week, not only for his genius but his street fighter never say die attitude. There is no doubt in my mind he had hero status amongst the fans had it not been for his raucous celebration, which I don’t hold against him I hasten to add.
