glad to know Colin is gone. just as JJ stated, pity his son didn't get to join him this time rd. next time maybe.

shame abt the player who didn't even know he scored a goal. i'm glad that in recent matches, the medical staff at Liverpool have been the one making the calls, not the player or manager, whenever a head injury is concerned. understand that everyone is anxious for Salah to be available, but if medically he needs to sit out, that decision should be made. 2 trophies are at stake, but a life and his future is at greater stake.

Sounds like they want to rush keita back. Liverpool need to keep an eye on this. We don’t want him playing if he’s not fit and make it worse.

Good news that Colin has gone but with them being relegated it gives Brighton nothing to play for against City?

Disagree Denzil, they can now play without fear knowing every loose pass or missed shot does not equal potential relegation.

Interesting about Keita Ed, desperate for him to play I guess?

He needs proper advice, would hate for him to play when he shouldn’t and risk injury, I feel he needs to return in good nick and hit the ground running, another disrupted season could see his chances of making it a Liverpool fade, as is the fickle nature of football at the top.

{Ed001's Note - I am sure he will be fine, Guinea are built around him.}

Like your thoughts JJ. Hope you are correct. But seen it all too often when people relax, job done with their holiday the following day.

Can't say I have ever tried a nutty salad but I'd give it a go, going for the healthy option eds.

Good point johncrow, it gives them a free swing at City the drama is going to be that if they are over adventurous and go for it they could get smashed about 8-0 😂.

Even Sunday football sounds a bit too generous John.
Cheers Ed, have a good Sunday mate!

{Ed001's Note - you too Salah.}

Jj I agree that Brighton nerves will not be taking a battering now they're safe but I think now they are safe, like denzel says, they have nothing to play for and will be just grateful that they are going to be in the prem next year. Mentally that takes a lot of fight out of them. But let's be honest, if brodg doesn't get what we need then I really can't see us getting our hands on it. I can't see Brighton even scoring let alone get anything points wise off citeh, not with the way they have played lately when they've had enough motivation to pull something out but basically lay down waiting for belly tinkles.

We all saw last night how a team with nothing to play for can give it a real go against a much better team if they have a mind to do so. Newcastle battled as if their lives depended on it - although their football was not as good as the Sky commentator and others would have us believe - and made us dig deep to get the win. We can only hope that Leicester and Brighton put up the same kind of fight against City.

Ww I love your positive thinking mate, one of the reasons I come on here I think is when the doubts start creeping in somebody always gives me a lift on here. Newcastle are a far better proposition than Brighton though mate, let's be fair.

Ohyoubeauty, I agree that Newcastle are a much better outfit than Brighton but any team can scrap, battle, fight for every ball if they are in the right frame of mind and if Brighton are really up for it, and the footballing gods are on our side, they could get something out of the game. It can go either way of course - Brighton might take to the pitch in flip flops and sombreros - but as ever I have hope in my heart. And there is the little matter of Wolves for us to take care of too. Come on you mighty Reds!

BHA will be well organised - Chris Hughton is a good manager and being underdogs is their specialty.

Spot on, WW. I have NEVER believed in this nonsense that "teams have nothing to play for hence, will take it easy" bla, bla, bla. That is NOT a thing. Teams that do that and have poor games and look like they aren't trying are teams who are NOT focused and frankly, lack any sort of self belief and pride in their profession and respect for the game.

As mentioned earlier, Newcastle could have just taken it easy cos you know, "they're safe" and hand us the game by not even trying. Clearly, Rafa and the Newcastle players are MORE honorable than that and that comes from the manager and his professionalism. Another manager who is a feckless loser, prolly would have done the opposite.

As for Brighton, they owe it a duty to not just their fans BUT the game itself to go all out and stop City from winning the PL on their turf, just like we did our job and beat Blackburn (even tho Utd would win had they won their game) in 94/ 95. Also, remember that City barely beat Brighton in the FA Cup semi's in a game where Brighton more than matched them on the day so I expect a tough game. Same for Leicester. We shall see.

I always think it’s more difficult playing a team in their last home game of the season. Newcastle vs Spurs a few years ago, Stoke against us 5-1 and even Newcastle last night. They just have that extra something to give their fans a good send off.
