Would you take a 1-0 loss to Newcastle, if it guaranteed us making the champions league final? Tricky one.

I'd never take a loss before the game has started benny you're getting abit strange.

2.) 30 Apr 2019
30 Apr 2019 11:54:59
No chance.

3.) 30 Apr 2019
30 Apr 2019 11:56:32
It’s not a tricky one, I wouldn’t take any loss on purpose.

We play every game as a final and aim to win all of them.

4.) 30 Apr 2019
30 Apr 2019 12:02:38
No I would take beating Newcastle Barcelona twice Brighton and Ajax/ spurs. And Leicester beating city. Nothing else!

30 Apr 2019 12:12:18
😂 Another wind up?

You’re not catching me out with that one 😛.

6.) 30 Apr 2019
30 Apr 2019 12:37:52
Benny, I tend to agree with view point that city won’t drop any points, but I’ll be damned if I thought Liverpool should ease up the pressure on them. The only way they will drop points is if they’re under pressure, that’s the most that Liverpool can do and that aspect of the title race is in our own hands.

7.) 30 Apr 2019
30 Apr 2019 13:33:46
Win 'em all, see what happens!

8.) 30 Apr 2019

I had to read this a few times, then I gave up.

9.) 30 Apr 2019
30 Apr 2019 13:39:25
I would not give up hope on the title till it is mathematically impossible to win it.
Leicester are a decent team that have goals in them.
Spurs had quite a few chances to score in that recent league game and City was definitely edgy at the end.
I would like to see Vardy getting a few 1on1 like Son missed.
City are a great team, but they are not invincible.
We need that win at Newcastle to keep the pressure on.

The sad thing is Ron, the lad is probably been serious mate.

11.) 30 Apr 2019
30 Apr 2019 14:37:05
It’s a hypothetical question. Jesus Christ.

{Ed025's Note - everyone is getting a bit twitchy benny, if you say anything negative you are the devil incarnate and a traitor, its just squeaky bum syndrome mate so dont let it bother you..

12.) 30 Apr 2019
30 Apr 2019 15:39:47
Benny. If the question was Champions League winners versus loss to Newcastle I think you’d see more compromise but for now it’s not sufficient collateral to give up the league for an appearance in Madrid.

13.) 30 Apr 2019
30 Apr 2019 15:53:00
But we are going to win in Madrid.

Salah to score and Ox to get a winner’s medal.

14.) 30 Apr 2019
30 Apr 2019 16:18:58
What's wrong with you, all of sudden, Benny? 😵.

15.) 30 Apr 2019
30 Apr 2019 16:25:28
Is there a certain number of appearances required in the Champions league before you're eligible for a winners medal should your team win or will one appearance do?

{Ed002's Note - No, the full CL squad get a medal.}

16.) 30 Apr 2019
30 Apr 2019 16:25:33
Ok well my answer would be a firm “not on your nelly”.

17.) 30 Apr 2019

Thanks Ed002.

18.) 30 Apr 2019
30 Apr 2019 18:21:32
I'll take a 0-0 draw but only if Leicester beat City 0-14.

19.) 30 Apr 2019
30 Apr 2019 19:36:21
I agree with benny. I would lose to newcastle if it meant we were guaranteed to make the ucl final. I say that because i don't see city losing. Its not over i know, but they have two fairly easy games. And if we were in the ucl final, we would batter ajax, or spurs perhaps.

But it was a hypothetical question of course. I want to win every game, i just think we have a better chance of winning the champions league.

And benny, if you're getting weird, i understand. i've been getting nose bleeds looking down to 3rd place, a trip to the nou camp with one of europes most exciting young teams, against who many believe to be the greatest team ever.

15 yrs ago eric meyer was skying shots into row z and our best available striker was titi camara (ill always have a soft spot for him) maybe more than 15 years. 5 years ago we had poulsan, jovanovic, cole konchesky.

Wow, things have changed.

Nout wrong with me aray. Was just a hypothetical brain teaser. Robbie summed it up well.
Champions league is in our hands, the PL is not.
I have not stopped supporting Liverpool, just because I believe city will win 2 games. Obviously, and I can’t believe I’m even saying this, I want to win every game we play. Just don’t see city dropping points and apparently that makes me a terrible deluded fan 😂.

01 May 2019 01:22:39
Not deluded Benny, you just think differently to some on here and there's nothing wrong with that. I've always been a firm believer in 'everybody has their own opinions'.
What get's me though is you say it's just a 'hypothetical brain teaser' yet on the whatsapp group you clearly state this is what you want lol!

And then with your BS earlier, crying like a little girl over NOTHING on there. Getting riled up over a few words, wow. Call other people out? it's not as if I was the only person to say something on this thread but you won't do that will you because you're fake.

Please note Benny, before today I have had nothing but ultimate respect for you but I won't have you calling me out like that and then getting insulting on a bloody app, there's no need mate. Why not message me privately? or even give me a ring? control yourself, until you do, you will fail every single time, you've made yourself look like a teenage boy mate. I'd like to respect you but you've made it impossible.

Please continue. On here, private message or even a call :) this will of done your head in because it's so clear you can't handle when people disagree with you, disagree with me privately, but you seem to love an audience it seems! hahaha the only thing you fail to realise is how stupid you look doing so.

O. K.

Getting back to the football.

I don’t see City dropping points either, why would they? They’re a far superior side to any of their remaining opponents and the league is their main focus having dropped out of the champions league.

But I still want LFC to make them WIN the league. Make them win 18 out of 19, make them get 98 points. If they do, then hats off to them 👏
I don’t want LFC to hand City the title by default because we want a night out in Madrid.
We owe it to the fans who pay their money and support the team to give it 100% until the last whistle is blown even if that means we lose all of our last 4 games.
If you want to become winners you have to have the right mentality. The right mentality has been displayed by Man City who have been going for 4 trophies and might end up with 3. You never accept a defeat until the final whistle, that is the mentality of champions!

23.) 01 May 2019
01 May 2019 08:30:44
Hahahaha Benny. looked like you poked a hornet's nest of angst and twitchiness there, mate!

That said, I'm with you. I want a bloody trophy or a title. At this stage, I'll take one guaranteed over "hoping" for both. That way, I get to live another few months without my heart giving out.

24.) 01 May 2019
01 May 2019 10:36:49
Salah the guy who makes up being injured 👍🏻.

25.) 01 May 2019
01 May 2019 11:00:45
Benny, I would NEVER prefer that my team lose even a game of Scrabble.

26.) 01 May 2019
01 May 2019 12:09:01
Flipping the question round a bit:

Would you take getting smashed in both legs by Barcelona to guarantee Man City get 2 draws in their last 2 league games?

I’d have to say “yes” I’m afraid.
It’s been too long without the league title.

27.) 01 May 2019
01 May 2019 12:30:52
I’d take that option too Ron 🤘🏻.

28.) 02 May 2019
02 May 2019 14:11:28
Come on guys I can take City winning 2 games and winning the league it will be disappointing but a great effort from us none the less.
What I would find difficult to stomach would be if we lost to Newcastle then City drew against Leicester. We have to go all out to win every game regardless of what we think the chances are. You just never know in football. Leicester got a draw at Anfield when no one gave them a prayer. Let’s just win our games and see how it plays out.
