Agree Dean. Those three teams, no disrespect to them, are no better than Uniteds team. City will likely win those games by 2 or 3 . But it really puts Klopp in a tricky position as he will know that will likely be the case but has to risk playing his best players knowing it's only a piont lead but also knowing it won't be made up and they have little rest between EPL and CL games.

Leicester have already beaten City so it's not fair to say they stand no chance.

Its difficult, not sure if you try to play for both. or just throw the league in the bin now. you have at least a chance to win the CL, even though it's a small chance.

I thought Burnley was the harder for them anyway due to current form. United have been shocking for weeks and Burnley will be no walk over at their place.

Always had a feeling that Burnley were the banana skin 🤞.

No White Flags getting raised here yet, there are three more games to go and European Cup for us? would not like to be in the trenches with you lot, haven't ye got any guts, as John Wayne said "we die with our boots on".

Will sign off now because the doom mongers will be out in force. I will be there on Friday Night Cheering me team on, i don't desert them when they need us?

Watched Burnley and can’t see them scoring against city, and we know you can’t sit back against them. If anyone then maybe Leicester but they’ve hardly been good recently!

Not once has anyone said they are deserting the team. I think Liverpool will win all thier games in the leauge now and will win the CL, but it is likely City will win all thier games as well, that is what has been said. Thinking a team that is arguably the greatest assembled in a generation will beat three mediocre teams having just won thier 11th straight game is not deserting your team at all, it is merely going with the probability that City will not drop any points between now and the end of the season.

Spot on, Mr Bond. I ain't quitting this team until the final whistle is over for the season. "We should bin the league". What crock of nonsense. City will LOVE to be in our position in the CL BUT clearly that's not good enuff for some of our own "fans". Good Grief!

We go for both titles and see what happens. The doom mongers are out in force and why blame them? They have been waiting for a while and have been hiding as LFC have won 7/ 8 in a row so they haven't had anything to moan about. I will be here till the very end, come what may so the doom mongers can do one. Peace!

007, I agree with your comments aimed at the quitters. Fortunately, there are many posters on here who remember all those times when it seemed like the cause was lost and The Mighty Reds prevailed. I’ll be there on Friday and I am expecting the Anfield crowd to raise the roof for our wonderful team. YNWA.

One word ladies - Brendan Rodgers. Now that is hope!

{Ed033's Note - Isn't "Brendan Rodgers" 2 words? :)

If there’s any comfort to this, United’s lack of effort and application is going to cost them a place in the champions league and condemn them to the Thursday Cup.

How does he know it won't be made up? Are you saying throw in the towel?! City we're expected to beat united, there are 3 games left with 1 point separating us and city. I fail to grasp how we should concede the title with 9 points still to play for.

Kimuraking youve repeatedly mention not throwing in the towel but then you mention the thought of resting players in the league. That is a sign of admitting defeat. In 38 league games city will be the favourite before every fixture. Yet they don't win every game, . We all know they are likely to win each of those one off fixtures but they are far from guaranteed.

wow, so odd people on here last night.

So what people are saying is they'd rather play for both, decreasing both chances due to possible injuries, then just go and try and win a CL? If people actually read, the post said "I'm not sure if you. " for a discussion.

Can we have an honest opinion rather "then i'm the best fan because I believe Liverpool can solve Brexit"

I've no issue with any fan feeling it's over already. But to suggest fielding a weakened team with 3 games left of a title race with 1 point in it? A title we've craved for 29 years! Would you actually accept that? Klopp wouldn't dare even consider that thought, I genuinely can't believe any fan would tolerate anything like that even being considered.
