Hey lads have you seen the new home kit for next season? 😍 the goalkeeper kit looks beautiful too. As much as I don't like the quality new balance don't half make beautiful kits. Weren't we meant to be getting a new kit manufacturer?

{Ed001's Note - lovely mate but the deal was always to include next season.}

Love the gk Jersey but I don't like the outfield one's, looks too 'retro' for me. Maybe I'm being a miserable so and so but it really isn't doing it for me.

Ahh fair enough Ed cheers, hope you have a great Easter weekend.

{Ed001's Note - I never knew it was Easter. That explains the eggs in the shops. I just never thought when I saw them, other than to be disappointed not to see any Buttons eggs, which are clearly the best eggs ever.}

In my opinion the New Balance kits have been fantastic. Some people may not care what the boys look like on the pitch but for me kits are very important in defining the clubs identity and seperating them from the rest, something the New Balance kits definitely give us. You can tell they do actually try to come up with something different from the rest. If we were to go to Nike for money we would look like every other team out on the pitch and for me that isn’t good enough because liverpool are special!

Kits are an important part of the clubs history. As the years roll by the allow us to look back, point at moments in time and remember fondly the memories associated with a particular season. Would anybody deny that reminiscing about Beardlsey, Barnes and Aldridge would be slightly dented if their Candy kits were swapped out for that yellow and red monstrosity from 2014/ 15? They just don’t make them like they used to and its sad. Not to mention that seemingly every time our kit designers have a stinker our season seems to suffer, whereas a nice looking kit always seems to be associated with positive memories (contrast 2014/ 15 and 2017/ 18 and you’ll see what i’m talking about) .

Obviously it is all about the health and growth of the club going forward and that none of this really matters in contributing towards success on the pitch. But in this ever more corporate and sanitised world of football we have to cling onto what little culture and individuality we have left, and i honestly feel the special treatment we get from New Balance in their kit design goes a long way to preserving our identity. If we were to go towards Nike then it would feel more like us shifting towards a faceless corporate entity like City. If we do decide to leave New Balance, i hope we choose Adidas as our partner, a brand with legitimate history behind Liverpool football club, the city and if we are honest, the North of England as a whole.

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't mind if the deal with Nike was for the Jordan brand, rather than Nike itself. The stuff they did for PSG was beautiful kit, only ruined by the PSG badge on it.}

What ruined the PSG kit was the image of the overrated Brazilian p**** Neymar wearing it.

{Ed001's Note - fair point.}

The kit was ruined more when the overrated guy fell to the ground. jesus does he even know how much a Jordan costs?

Ed, even more gutting that the buttons are no longer inside the egg but just in standard packets in the box. The magic of smashing into the egg has been lost!

Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - no way! Life is not fair.}

If the leaked NB kit I saw online is what it looks like it is then, I am getting one esp. if we win the PL. It is super awesome.

Ed1 - given how early shops start promoting holidays you'd be forgiven for thinking Easter is months away! Shops will have Christmas decorations up next week!

{Ed001's Note - not here they don't mate. Well they might do actually I just don't notice.}
