Ed 01. Hope you're well mate. Wanted to ask about Naby. I know it's only a couple of games, but do you think he's turned a corner all of a sudden? Noticed a couple of high fives during the game between him and Milner last night and there is definitely a bit more confidence in his play. He seems to have a sense of belonging now. I've read on here recently that he wasn't quite settling as well as anticipated, so have been chuffed with the recent bit of form and the flickers of team bonding both from and towards him. Do the concerns of him both settling and integrating still remain amongst those in the know, or is there a feeling that he's becoming the Liverpool player we all hoped for? Personally I think he could be huge for us next year, as he brings a different dynamic to our midfield. What do you reckon?

{Ed001's Note - until he learns to speak English fluently there will always be a bit of an issue. Difficult to join in with banter etc if you have no idea what is being said.}

Thanks Ed 01. Let’s hope he throws himself into it over the coming months.

{Ed001's Note - I hope so, it does make a huge difference.}

Watch him go next season, I see him being our best midfielder, we're seeing a glimpse of it right now, it's a matter of time before we see him at his best, he took a while to settle but he's getting there, next season he'll be on fire.

I agree salah mate. We have seen flashes of what he can do. I hadn't thought about the language barrier and it makes total sense. He is going to rock the premier league.

I noticed him and milly's hand slaps yesterday. It was good to see. He has now scored some big goals and is getting the respect. He, like aoc, can score from midfield and drive forward and it is coming at just the right time.

Yeah AOC is another one, can you imagine AOC, Hendo, Keita, Fabinho and Wijnaldum on top form? that's an exciting thought and a difficult choice for the manager to pick who starts.

Is he not picking it up ed, or not trying?

{Ed001's Note - well he never bothered to learn before joining, even though he knew he was joining a year ago. To be honest it is odd that any player who wants to play in European competition is not able to speak English as it has become the standard language.}

I don't understand how you can assume to succeed if you don't make the necessary effort to assimilate and integrate, in a team sport. More so, if you are in a foreign country and don't speak the language. Look at the Bale example. He has never consistently lived up to the hype at Real Madrid, and his inability to speak Spanish is always cited as one of the reasons. If Keita doesn't wise up, I wouldn't be surprised if he fails to meet expectations; the team's, the fans' and even his own.

Ed001 Just out of curiosity is it only Naby who cannot speak English in the team or is it any other players as well? Does Klopp have any rules in place that no other language bar English can be spoken in the dressing room?

{Ed001's Note - as far as I know he is the only one. It is a standard expectation. }

Ed1, am I right in remembering he was taking English lessons before he officially came to the club? maybe I'm thinking of somebody else but I'm sure it was Keita, I can only assume that if it was him, he gave up and didn't put much effort into it.

{Ed001's Note - I am pretty sure he did say that he was having lessons when he first agreed the deal. Might not be a lack of effort to be fair, some people just struggle with languages.}

Yes that's very true actually mate, it's not an easy language to learn. Christ, I'm English and don't know the half of it!

{Ed001's Note - nobody ever understands what I say!}

Lets be honest. Footballers aren't the smartest bunch in general. They don't do much school and if you grow up in certain parts of africa then education isn't up to the standards of Europe. Its getting there.

Yes, he knew he was signing a year in advance. He is a young man, i don't totally blame him. He has mane to help translate too.

I heard bobby do an interview on football focus and he spoke in Spanish. With an interpretater.

To be fair, even if he got a German to teach him English while he was at Leipzig, the Scouse accent is quite hard to understand. What's the prevailing accent at Melwood, do you think?

Allison and fabinho are still not comfortable speaking English either. Keita should have spent his year learning though knowing he was moving to england.
