With all this tv rights etc, why were there two Friday games on at the same time, and two Sunday games on at the same time? I know the league cup final is on, but if it’s notngoing to be televised, why not make it 3 on a Saturday?!

Not sure about the extra Friday night game but arsenals game needs to be a Sunday due to Thursday night Europa league I'd imagine.

The Cardiff game was played on the Friday night I think because England playing Wales at the Millennium on Saturday and all the police forces would be needed for that event.

Europa league pushes Arsenal and Chelsea to Sunday’s.

Presumably some of the clubs playing on Friday are due to fixture congestion from the FA cup or league cup final?
