Livrpools Back four against Bayern will be interesting as VVD is suspended for Anfield game, perhaps that's why Lovren never went to marbella training centre, instead receiving intensive treatment at Mellwood for the four days squad were away otherwise Milner centre half? or Robertson centre half Milner then left back? Thoughts anyone.

Fabinho or Wijnaldum.

Its imperative that we sign a top class centre half during the summer as cover, Lovren and Matip are not good enough for long term cover.

Fab is next in line for CB.

Gomez is the top class cb we need only he is injury prone. Joe was looking as good as big v early this season. But his injury troubles worry me. Lovren is more than capable imo.

I think we have dropped point souly because the back four was always interchanging. When had taa, gomez, vvd and robbo we looked invincible.

If lovren is fit I would assume he will partner matip. But fabhino I would rather than a half injured lovren or the pussy cat matip.

Robbie, how is Gomez injury prone? He had one bad injury from wich he recovered very well and is up to speed after that, some footballers never recover from such injury. Now he is not to blame for the injury he carries, how can you blame him? In that game the tactics of the opposition was to kick our players and hope we get tired from that. The result was his injury.

Gomez said that most of his injuries were caused by impact. If that's the case, we can't really call him an injury prone player. Just unfortunate.

He’s been injured for a month or more every season we have had him.

This seasons was part dyches tactics and part the fact that he wasn’t rested often enough, having to cover right back so TAA could be rested.

The moral, we need a RB so Gomez never has to cover there again and can be properly rotated and rested.

Alisson

A. Arnold-Fabinho-Matip-Robertson

Milner-Wijanldum-Keita

Salah-Firmino-Mane

we can win Bayern with this lineup!

KK I’ve never know being rested to prevent a broken leg. Mee followed through on him and broke his leg, he was just unlucky.
They did the same thing numerous times that game but on that occasion his foot was planted and Mee’s full body weight went through him.
I’d hardly call getting injured from that being injury prone or a sign of needing a rest.

Hendo for Milner for me, Keita just in front of the two.

Gomez being "injury-prone" is a myth, backed up by NO facts. Oh and by the way, him being injured when viciously tackled does NOT make him injury prone. That is also a myth. Gomez is young and his body is still developing as a professional athlete so it is normal that his body goes thru such growing pains and pick up knocks here and there, so his body can get used to the demands of professional sports. That is it and nothing else.

we need to sign at least one more cb who can be good enough to partner VanDijk and sell one of Matip/ Lovren they are injury prone and they don't want to be back up and Gomez is a lot better.

Maybe Koulibally, DeLigt, Upamecano, M. Skriniar.

Gomez’s latest injury was caused by a disgusting “tackle” by Ben Mee, that’s nothing like being injury prone.

{Ed025's Note - thats a bit over the top FMS, it was clumsy yes but without intent i believe mate..
