Lallana is increasingly doing my head in, I agree, he should shut his mouth and concentrate on his game because he really needs to. The only thing he should've been saying is admitting how bloody poor he was. Gobsh*te comes to mind.

Thanks for that Ed, hope you have a good day mate.

{Ed001's Note - it is my pet hate with him. Since the moment he has joined us he has been telling the papers what he is going to do and never once has he actually achieved what he said.}

Thanks Ed, What is it Klopp sees in Lallana that makes him still pick him? I really don't see what he offers now, and there's Wilson and Woodburn out on loan who could fill that role and really could be no worse.

{Ed001's Note - when he is at his best, he is a good player and Klopp is trying to get him back to that.}

He certainly has talent, as you say ed when he's at his best he's good but I fear we won't see that again, who knows maybe he will get that bit of class back, hopefully he will but I really have my doubts, I'm wrong with a lot of things though so we'll see lol. I just can't stand him speaking to the media at every chance he gets, it winds me up, why do it? what do you gain from that? he likes the sound of his own voice I'm sure of it. He needs to learn to stfu and get on with what he's paid to do, unfortunately even that isn't possible for him at the moment.

{Ed001's Note - he does seem to have let becoming an England regular go to his head.}

Good set of news alerts Ed001 mate. I must admit that the biggest drop in Sterling since Brexit made me chuckle quite a bit.

I hope Lallana does find some form again but to be honest it was a terrible mistake by Klopp to play him in our game against Red Star. strikes me as slight underestimation of our opponents by Jurgen but that might be my 20-2o hindsight. Let's hope that our players simply had an off night and things'll be back to normal service.

Thanks for taking so much time and providing us with entertaining articles!

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate.}

I think Lallana's best days are well behind him and I doubt he'll ever be the player he used to be.
He just seems to run round a lot doing nothing, and it's nowhere near good enough I'm afraid.

{Ed0333's Note - hallelujah

Cheers Ed but definitely not cheating. No attempt to con the ref and not his job to do the work of the officials when they get something wrong. There are so few examples of anybody speaking up when wrong decisions are made that no one should expect Sterling to be the one to start, especially when Guardiola would likely have given him a rollicking for doing so. Whether right or wrong, I think we just have to accept that in football people take what they can get away with. It is a very far cry between deliberately attempting to mislead the ref and simply staying quiet when a mistake has been made.

Cheers Ed001, great read as usual. Looking forwards to reading Zlatan's new book, his first one was a fantastic read. It was a breath of fresh air compared to most footballers autobiographies.

The Sterling penalty was absurd. In Sterlings defence, were a defender to slip and foul a player in the box and get away with it, I doubt they'd say anything. There needs to be a better system in place. It would also be nice if referee's were held accountable or at the very least had to justify their decisions. Was baffled the other day when Dybala was given a yellow card along with Herrera because Herrera pulled him back.

Sorry guys but I ain't buying the fact that Sterling did not dive or do this on purpose to con the ref. Why? I have been watching Sterling for a while now and has become a serial diver since he went to City. Check out the away game at City in the CL last season. He spent a good amount of time trying to con the ref by embelishing any contact he got esp. against Robbo and VVD. He even did the same thing at Anfield in the 4-3 game, right before Ox scored the first goal.

What made it even worse was that Arturo Vidal while at Juve, did the exact same thing (his was actually worse) I, many others (and those in the English media) just laughed as it was ridiculous BUT it's Sterling the same English media are making excuses for him. People can defend him or say "the ref should have seen it or he inadvertently kicked the turf (BUT I'm not with any of that.

As for Lallana, there is a name we give to players or athletes who talk a whole lot/ gob off to the media or on SM way more than they play. We call them Scrubs, which is what Lallana has become. You see, Scrubs do a lot of talking from the bench but they barely ever play, yet have so much to say about what they will do when they do get to play. If only he knew how poor he looks or has been on the pitch and how ridiculous he sounds each time he opens his mouth but again, that's the thing with Scrubs. They lack any form of self-awareness.
