Nearly a week to go until Fulham and Klopp puts out Matip and Sturridge. He's getting in my nerves lately.

You do realise that we also played 4 days ago?

Matip doesn't get me excited but I am happy to see Sturridge. Firmino has looked exhausted and hasn't been effective.

Why? Because he isn’t picking your favourite players?

Yes, let's not rotate and wonder why the team are knackered in February.

If Matip, Lallana and Sturridge can't come in and perform today then they have no role in the squad.

That’s what we have a squad for. Unless, of course, you would prefer these players to be completely short of any match fitness when they are inevitably needed later on in the season. It’s not like we’re playing PSG or Napoli tonight.

Just as well were not playing psg or napoli on that 1st half performance shambolic.

Or is it just klopps obsession of bringing on a defender really late on nearly every match.

What has changed this season? We look so poor going forward. Lallana should be nowhere near the first team. awful.

Were we knackered last year at any point when we were playing same amount of games in the same amount of competition with a slightly weaker team?
Were we knackered Especially in February?

This is becoming farsical - you do not change a winning mentality or a winning team.
Klopp killed the team and possinly the season by playing a weakening team in the carabo cup, the result of which has impacted the momentum and confidence.

We may just about scrape through the CL group stage and I can not see us progressing beyond that.
This season we have been very been terrible and it is nothing to do with bwing tired from the World Cup as City have also proved that with having more players (than us) involved at the world cup.

not even getting the basics right, and why bring Mane over to the right hand side, when he can't seem to get going at all, even running the ball out of play himself .
we will try and get 2nd place,
same as the Prem .

Matip also, not a 1st team player, Klopp can't seem to get them sorted, way too many errors,
best team won, they did play the dark arts at times, but nothing went right tonight, just hope we snap out of this on Sunday .

Red Kurd, you have to rotate in this day and age and that is a fact. If you want us to go far in any of the comps. that we are in, you have to use the squad at your disposal esp. with the PL not having a winter break. This is not rocket science and I'm sure you are aware of this BUT you just seem to want to have a moan for no apparent reason. So we should play these starters in EVERY game and then when they are knackered (cos they will), what would you say then. The rest of your post just sounds like a whind up, full of OTT negativity.

BRover; I always look forward to your comments on here and I tend to find myself agreeing with you on most occassions but I can not agree with you on this;

it is not a moan but an observarion and more than a valid one.
Not sure if your read my comments in detail and picked up my main point about how were we playing last year without this crazy rotation for important games.
This season we are also supposidly have a stonger team - so what happened there?

It is not crazy to suggest the same set of players play 2 games a week which is what most teams do in the EPL if they are competing on any front.

You can not play Adam Lalana or Sturidge because they are both more than past it and so far up their own ego that they they think their mere presence a pitch is going to steam roll other teams.

Both of these 2 players are long time inury hit/ prone players and not fit for such decisive games.

You can not have them. on in to a decisive game and expect them to fit in instantly when they have not played enough to be able to achieve that.

There is optimisim and then there is deluision.

To not beat this team tonight is criminal.

Klopps substitutions and game management has always been beyond awful this game just reinforces that.
Klopp does not learn from his mistakes.
He is an excellent coach but I am sorry to say he is nowhere near a manager or a tactician.
70% posession and a 2 goal loss to show for it is nit great tactic.

We habe been very lucky in a number of games this season and I worry that it will not improve much but instead get a little worse.

Sorry Red Kurd, I’m with BRover.

Last season what happened in April/ May?

Ox got injured and the team ran out of steam in the CL final. We peaked too early and were shot when the medals are given out.

Klopp is playing the long game, keep pace and peak in Spring.

Hi Ron

I disagree with you.

Injuries happen all the time - look at City with Mendy last year.

We did not peak too early.
Klopp is not a master tactician that is why we lost the CL fianl.
From the moment you know your facing Madrud or Barcelona then from there you use the media to highlight the fact that refrees are extremely leniant to them and you highlight the fact that Ramos is a very sly and dirty player.
Bring the focus on these 2 points and keep talking about it in the build up and both Ramos and the ref get scared not ro act as theu should.
This is the nature of modern global football Ron.

Also in the CL final - you do not put Caan and Lalana on when they had hardly any game time and no sharpness.
Insread you put Solonke on and tell him to bully Ramos and have a real phyisical go at him and Solonke can do that and then you have different game.

These prove that Klopp is not a tactician and is absoloutly clueless on substitutions.

{Ed001's Note - Solanke is not physically capable of bullying a defender at first team level. He did it at youth level, but he is not big, strong and powerful enough to do it in the first team, which is why he has struggled so badly.}

Not much point in resting players if all you have in Spring is a battle to qualify for the Europa. Play our best eleven in the Prem league and CL. The time to rest players is during the minor cups and once we assured of qualifying in our CL group.
