Hi Eds and Fans. Question - If available and both parties were happy would you take Dele Alli?

{Ed001's Note - that depends, would Klopp want him? If so then yes, if not, then no.}

Wish we could've taken him from MK Dons back then, he'd probably cost the earth to sign him now.

If he cut out his diving and petulant attitude then he could be a real player. It does feel as though he’s drop off a bit over the last 18 months though.

big fan of him. Strength, skill, height and pace. Rare combo of attributes in a Attacking midfielder.

No from me.

It's about time for dele to grow up. Those hand shakes make me cringe. He has real talent and I still believe he will one day play for his boyhood club. I reckon levy would sell for around 50/ 60.

Would have loved him from MK Don's, especially with the squad we currently had at the time, but I don't like how he's been developed.

He wouldn't slot straight in and while he's definitely young enough to adapt, with the current squad, I'm not sure it would be worth taking the time to do so. Not with the Ox coming back, Shaqiri doing well at 10, Keita still adapting and Trent likely moving to the midfield at some point.

Nah. Waste of money, I'd be hoping for someone a little better than Ali if we were ever to get a big money midfielder.

I am a big fan of his but for me he hasn't improved one bit in last 2 seasons. If he had come to us years ago id be thinking he would be in out top 3 players. Only by judging how klopp has got others playing from other teams.

With Salah, there. Alli can stay exactly where he is. Good player BUT an unrepentant diver and brazen cheat. As for whether we should have had him back when BR was manager and was keen to come to us, what would have changed? BR was so incompetent that he did not know where or how to use Bobbie who is not an Anfield idol? Or what he did with Emre Can, moving everywhere bar in goal for the disaster we all witnessed? With that in mind, Alli would prolly never had fulfilled his potential here with that kind of managerial incompetence, like Bobbie and Can did (thank heavens Klopp rescued these players) so in some way, I'm happy he did not join us then cos he'd have prolly been ruined.

Not for me. He seems to spend his whole training sessions coming up with new dances and handshakes rather than improving his game.
Not the type of big time Charlie we need at the club.

I don't think you can say he hasn't improved in the last 2 years.
At MK Dons he was a CM and bossed games from the centre of the park. He won the ball, drove forward from CM and scored some long range bangers (I watched close up)
Now he is more of a flair AM linking with Kane and arriving in the box whilst using tricks and flicks.
He has adapted well but you can't judge playing against League 1 to teams like Real Madrid.

I would love to have him at the club he changed the game last night when he came on. If I remember rightly that he came to Anfield years ago and was suppose to meet Gerard but poor Gerard was in bed and didn't get up to meet him. I think that made his mind up, he was suppose to be going to us or spuds and the rest is history.

No, Rogers wanted to sign him but the board said no to 8 mil! He would have been good for us and may still end up here. We have signed quite a few Liverpool fans.

{Ed001's Note - that is not true. He was not 8m for one. For second the board never said no. Alli has even said himself he was supposed to be met by his idol Steven Gerrard when he came to Melwood, but Gerrard was sleeping and no one woke him, so he didn't sign then. He was still keen on joining but Spurs came in and won him over by having people actually bother to turn up when they were supposed to and made him feel like they wanted him, unlike us. I mean really, that shows the issue with Rodgers, he was too weak with the players to even clinch a signing he wanted as he was too scared to wake Gerrard to get the deal through!}

Judging by how a lot of prospects turned out under BR, I don't think he was even going to get a chance to play. He got Spurs and we didn't turn out so bad so win win situation for every one. E.

Spot on, Ed. Robbiesline with Ed's comment, allow me to I add "spineless and weak" to BR's ever-growing shortcomings.
