Cheers Ed. Balotelli has to be running out of options soon surely. When your team mates are literally criticising you on live TV, it's the beginning of the end, so much potential, what a waste.

Also ed, quick question, after Van Dijk went off Saturday I was a little worried with matip who we know is error prone and Gomez who is still learning his trade at centre back, leading the defence. Both of them have shown they can defend next to VVD, as he is a leader and shouts at them about positioning etc, however, Gomez played excellent and matip, apart from a couple of missed place passes also had a very good game. Could this be the result in having someone like Allison behind them, loud, commanding and confident? Just thought I'd ask you opinion. Confidence breeds confidence and they both played very well.

{Ed001's Note - agreed on Balotelli, he is already at the lower end of top flight clubs, there is not much keeping him in the top flight.

It certainly helps having a keeper behind you that will bawl you out if you slip up. No one wants to be on the end of a rocket! It does help that the team as a whole played well too. Confidence is high and that helps, so long as it doesn't overstep into overconfidence.}

Exciting, exactly Ed, some may go down the nervous route but nah its damn right exciting, why? Because we're going to smash them all! Napoli away concerns me somewhat but we'll still do them.

Agreed guys. I share your concern over napoli away salah but imagine if we win that game! It's ridiculous that we are a tier 3 team but the best in our group.

I love that a draw away at city (who are ripe for another pasting) will feel like a loss.

I feel a lot of people are getting ahead of themselves, calling the league Cup "mickey mouse" that is big talk from fans who haven't managed to lift that particular trophy for 8 years. Things are positive, very positive but we have to be realistic. We also have to support our team if we have a blip, which nearly everyone does.

Ballotelli, what a plank. His heart isn't in it is it. He doesn't care. person. Most people would give their right arm to be in his position.
