Happy with our summer signings in general I think we have added very well. 2 beast CM's, a World class Keeper and a back up player in Shaqiri.

I just hope we don't regret not getting a number10 in. Someone to play in the whole behind Bobby and pull the strings, slot the balls through, take the free kicks etc, a playmaker.

It was well documented we wanted a Keeper and a N.10 so if im honest I don't fully understand why we failed to get one of these places filled as both were a priority but in general I think we have done well.

Shaqiri is definately capable of playing that role. plus Lallana will be back fit and Keita could also play that role. we are way stronger in midfield then we were last season 👌.

I do agree Smurf we are stronger. Im not sure Shaqiri is the player to play in that roll however most games. I can see him being used off the bench to cover the forward positions. What im saying is a proper 10 was needed and clearly we went after you no who and rightly or wrongly pulled out. The fact it went that far with the player proves how much we needed a player of his abilitys. Draxler also touted as a possibility. We sign a Keeper and all of a sudden we don't no longer need a N.10 and will go with what we have. Just doesn't quite sit right the more I think about it.

Was bobby CF before joined us? No but klopp saw it in him when he (Klopp) signed and coached him and he scored 27 goals last year. Don’t worry about the 10 role -
Klopp clearly feels he has it covered now a Fekir not joining and will coach either Keita or Shaq or both in to it.

I don’t think we’ll miss Fekir as much as you think. We have Keita who can play at 10 ahead of Fabinho/ Hendo in a 4-2-3-1. So can Shaqiri, or even Firmino who can be extremely effective behind Solanke/ Sturridge (as we saw vs. Brighton) .

Fekir (or other) would only be upgrading Gini or Lallana and im not sure they even need to be starting in our current squad.

In our usual 4-3-3 the front 3 have responsibility to play in ll forward postions plus the #10. They are flexible and creative. I think we talk too much about a #10 when in reality the our system takes a more collective approach.

If anyone watched the utd friendly then shaqiri can most certainly play no10.
