Just another pre season friendly, but here are some observations:

Pros:
1. Studge continues to look sharp
2. Keïta is going to be a beast. His quality shines through
3. Woodburn showed some great vision, and is beginning to look more natural in midfield with every game
4. Curtis Jones is quietly impressive, and really showing up. Dare I say he has made the jump to men's football look a lot More seamless than Ovie Ejaria did
5. VVD is a beast at the back
6. Fabinho getting better with every game. You can see how he is trying to play the Hendo role of keeping the ball ticking

Cons:
1. Matip injury - I know a lot of people on here don't rate him, but I'd still rather have him fit and available for selection than not
2. Origi and Solanke looking very average. Solanke seems to get into good positions but not do much with it. Origi seems to have receded from his form pre-loan.
3. Moreno is still suspect defensively, and Clyne is still not very effective offensively
4 Ojo seems to be playing within himself a bit, and not showing a lot of creativity.

Totally agree, especially about Keita. Can't wait to seem him this season!

You can forgive Solankes consistently poor touch if he just adds those goals to his game, but in almost every game i’v Watched him in he misses easy chances. This is not a one off, it’s a regular thing. Genuinely think Studge May have moved back above him in the pecking order. Studge May not be great or suited to our team either currently but at least he can make stuff happen and scores goals.

Don't think I've ever seen a player so in need of a goal than solanke. Liverpool in general don't have a great record with 6ft+ striker but persist in the plan b option.

Can anyone remember a decent one bar Croachy?
