I am saying it,

I love VAR! Think it may just start the end of the play acting. If neymar stayed on his feet he probably scores.

For me it is why Argentina and Brazil are struggling, there both relying on their mega stars and forgetting its a team game, i also think Neymar is overrated (still a very good player) but no where near Ronaldo/ Messi.

Neymar should have had about 5 yellow cards for simulation, the referees this year seam to be being incredibly lenient on everything, no yellows for dragging players back on the counter etc. You usually expect refs to be harsher on the world stage but not this year, I guess they don't want to spoil games with unnecessary reds.

Neymar is a tube and im being nice in saying that. He just acts like a spoilt child, he should have been booked for simulation and then sent off later. i've no time for him but i have plenty of time for Bobby Firmino. How he is not on that team ahead of Jesus is beyond me. He has done more in his 2 cameo roles than Jesus had done in both his matches. You want to go further in the World Cup Brazil? Play Bobby, simple.

I'm sure I'm in the minority here, but for me Neymar and Pogba are the two most overrated footballers out there today. They may have individual skill, but both are too caught up in themselves to be effective team players. Just my opinion.

I would agree stone, I think certain footballers are carried by their brand rather than their overall game. Like neymars rainbow flick, great skill which will be a youtube hit for months, but a better striker would of buried his earlier chance.

Agree with others above, Neymar is a brand nothing more.

Barcelona are welcome to him. What a fantastic pair they have in him and Messi, what could possibly go wrong. 🙈.

I suppose all of the refs have been fairly consistent when it comes to keeping their cards in their pockets and it will no doubt favour the smaller nations in the group making a bit more of a spectacle. I thought the ref for the Brazil game was ok to be fair, he admitted he made a mistake giving the pen and overturned it and less experienced ones would have wilted under the pressure Neymar was trying to put on him.

I agree VAR has worked well and I'm glad the ref didn't give Neymar a pen for that dive. Yes he got touched but he went down like he was hit by a freeze ray.

His hair is stupid (not the first) he cheats (not the first) he is a brand (not the first) and he is over rated (not the first) but for all that, he is still a fantastic footballer. He is a t wot, crying was fake as, still a fantastic player and Brazil in full flow (against woeful defences like today's) is a joy to watch as a football fan. I think that game will give them a massive boost and if I had a bet it would be between Brazil and Spain for me this year.

Anyone who thinks Neymar isn't a seriously talented footballer either has an axe to grind or is just an idiot. Or both.
Yes he's a crying little girlie, selfish and an arse but I saw him play as a young lad and boy can he play. He'd be much better with a good strong team ethic and if he didn't believe his own hype though.

A certain Brazilian who played in the early days by the name of Danielson comes to mind. Was loved by his fellow countrymen and moved to Real betis for mega mulla.
