Hi guys, was reading the transfer of Fabinho and the statement by Did Harmann that a proper CDM is badly needed. How does this signing affect Henderson? He is soul of our club and needs to play. But I can't see him ahead of Keita, Fekir or Fabinho or even Ox. How do we solve this puzzle?

There is no puzzle instead we have a solid team now! A group of players who will all have enough game time between them. Hendo will rotate with Fabinho. Hendo could also play ahead of Fabinho. 6 midfielders for 3 positions! We have 4 competitions next season to look for!

We have just replaced Can with Fabinho. Really don't understand the fuss. Competition for places makes the team better.

OP, Hendo can't play all the time and frankly, no one can so no one is affected by any player coming in. It's a squad game now. Klopp rotates a lot and rotated the most out of all 4 leagues in England last season so expect ALL the players esp. in midfield, to get their own share of games esp. if we wanna be competitive in 4 comps.

You do realise Fekir hasn't signed for us and that deal is now in jeopardy and looks unlikely! Would of been nice but hey!

To those who say it's a squad game and rotation needed. U do realise how damaging it is to captain if he becomes just a squad player? Secondly even if Henderson is rotated and play 70% of time. It will be a whopping 30% that translate to around 20 matches on bench. Who is going to lead us on pitch, give interviews, half time talks, unroll banners for fans etc? I dun mean others can't do it but they dun do it as effectively as Henderson.

And mind you it doesn't mean if Hendrson not playing Milner definitely plays. We need another VC to be sure. Probably VVD.

VVD is simply boss on pitch and exude coolness that calms the team now.

I like Henderson, but really, I'm not perturbed about whether or not he starts.
Look at the Madrid game, those three midfielders that were good enough to start could be on the bench if we get Fekir too.
That's squad depth and quality. It's what we need to win titles.
Hendo is a good player. The team is more important though.

realtofel, I am afraid as captain of squad and captain also of England, not starting will be emotional and psychological blow. I am not sure if Henderson is willing just to be a 'good player' and allow the 'team to come first' . Nobody will listen to Henderson when he is talking without playing. The players will be going like - ok. mmm . let him finish his gibberish and then we hear Klopp or whoever is a playing captain.

Those who do not wish to plan for Henderson to be in team, You guys are going regret it when Henderson hands in his transfer request! If you fail to plan you plan to fail.
