God you boys are really hammering the kid TAA. He will have his bad days. Rashford has been slated on our page at many times but yesterday he showed his class. When you're young, things can go bad but you have to support them through those times.

You'll never walk alone is a poor choice of song considering how you treat some of your players.

{Ed025's Note - fair points there angel..

Excellent point's mate. Unfortuneatly patience and football fan's don't go in the same sentence.

Well said angel red. People are acting like we just lost to Rochdale. We lost to one of the best teams in Europe. It happens, we didn't get slaughtered. Jose has always been good at stifling opposition creativity, its one of the reasons he is so disliked by football fans. You have to hand it to rashford, he is a great little player and I'm glad he will be playing for England in the world cup.

I don't know if this link will work but as recently as the Newcastle game United fan's were abusing their players especially Smalling. So I don't see why all of a sudden United fans are taking the moral high ground. The abuse of players is unacceptable but I think you should look closer to home first.

Man Utd fans booing

So you’re allowed to slag off Rashford and then call other teams fans for slagging off players? Bizarre logic.

Hey, all fans are as bad as eachother when it comes to slagging off their own players.

However, only one group of fans sing that they will always support those players before slagging them off.

The point is anyone who has ever stood in Anfield and sung "you'll never walk alone" then gone on to slay those players off is a massive hypocrite and a lair.

Some United fans have booed Smalling and many other United players. They just didn't sing to them that they would always support them beforehand.

The fact that TAA, a 19 year old kid who has been solid for us playing in anew position, is being blamed for our loss to Utd (the most expensive squad ever assembled in PL history), is what I find utterly disgraceful. You should be well and truly ashamed of yourselves and need not bother to call yourself LFC fans. DISGUSTING!

Talking of songs.

At least we don’t need a sound engineer and a singing section to boost the atmosphere 😂.

I think your point is a bit daft Shappy if im honest. You are not going to try and tell me that booing a player is much better than singing a club anthem and then giving them abuse? Pretty much the same to me mate, whatever way you look at it. I think in general fans need to take a more measured approach in their appraisals of a players performance and not this rollercoaster of emotions that we usually have. I do agree tho that youngsters need to be given some slack tho.

Shappy, you prolly wanna sweep your front yard first before saying someone else's is dirty. Majority of the fans are happy about our team and players, accepting that some will make mistakes BUT their mistakes do and should not define them esp. if it is a young kid who has been solid for us and has quality in his right foot (scored 3 goals and has 3 assists in all comps. this season) in TAA. Don't care what the senseless trolls on SM say about our players cos they don't speak for the majority of LFC's fans.

What we don't have is fans booing their own players and their manager slagging them off for not supporting the team on their HOME pitch and needing a sound engineer to big up the atmosphere.

Geri, kingkenny. sorry maybe I should have also made my stance a bit clearer if you didn't understand the OP. it's okay, sometimes things are not understood.

But the point I was trying to make was that it is unacceptable to me, to slag off or blame a young player who is still on an upward curve. I can never understand why this happens, we should all be behind our younger players especially when things don't go their way for they might use that support and turn it into something brilliant in the future.

So Geri, I hope you understand that I am not trying to take the moral high ground, just politely remind some posters to try not and get on top of a young player still learning his trade. I also try and remind fellow United posters of the same. And kingkenny, I hope that logic wasn't too bizarre for you.

My point is what exactly does a certain song have to do with it? Liverpool and United fans will sing songs at the next game about Chamberlain, Lukaku etc etc Then the following week they will slate them. Some idiot's go to far but Man United fans or any other fans coming on to raise the issue on this page is hypocrisy. All CLUBS have idiot fans that go to far. Celtic use that song regularly, do you go on any of their pages when their fans slate a player? I highly doubt you do.

Spot on, Geri. The Utd fans are the worst when it comes to hypocrisy as well. The slated LFC for winning loser's trophies under Fergie and now they are hailing the same trophies (Caraboo-boo Cup, EL and get this, the mighty Charity Shield) as things to be proud of. Uteer dross! They won a game. Big Deal. The fact still remains that your noisy neighbors are well ahead of them they are are no closer to City than we are so again, they should go fix up first before lecturing LFC on how to fix up.

Sorry Geri, either your very angry about it or whatever, I was just trying to defend a young player like I would with any. I had seen long posts on here abusing TAA and I thought it was worth pointing out that you have a fantastic song that is supposed to symbolise the club so I thought it was hypocritical.

You are always welcome on our page to make these kind of points too Geri. I'd like to think if I saw the level of criticism that was aimed on here towards a young player on another page then I would also make those points on there too.

Angelred, what is the difference between Rashford and TAA in terms of where their careers are and being in an up curve as you put it? There is no difference. Your lot slag Rashford off and our lot have slagged TAA off. Neither is acceptable, but it’s your lot who have come on here to throw abuse around when you’re all equally as guilty of the same crimes.
I get that Shappy is sour about us singing YNWA, but its hard to stay on your high horse when you’re team is guilty of identical issues.

Your lot? King Kenny, I'm a football fan first and foremost, haven't got time for this your lot, my lot blaa blaa.

And I believe you are more than welcome to put that across on our page because the slagging rashford has gotten is inexcusable and there is he is grabbing a brace in one of the biggest games of the season.

I'm only trying to say that TAA should be supported rather than slagged, that's all. I'm not on here representing anybody, or taking the moral high ground. Just pointing out that I think the criticism TAA has got to be unjust.

I'm not sure why you are getting so upset?

It’s not as simple as you are suggesting Angelred, your post is directly echoing Shappys over the top post with your ynwa comments. Of course I agree that we should not be slagging TAA off- and I haven’t myself. I just don’t see why you and others need to come on here the day after your team have won a big game and try to wind people up, can’t you just celebrate a win like the (majority of) the rest of us?

Also, you’ve come on here suggesting we’re in the wrong for slagging him off whilst acknowledging that your lot are just as bad. It all seems a little petty and pointless to me.
