The fourth goal sums up our defensive problems for me. The only player to show any defensive instincts and was very unfortunate given he blocked the shot on the line was our centre forward. Other than this our best defenders on the day were an untested centre half at this level and our left back. Don't get me wrong I am far from convinced Moreno is the answer at full back but when he out performs two centre halfs defensively then you know you are in trouble.

I thought exactly the same. When Kane fired in the rebound there where 3 players who threw themselves at it.

Gomez, Matip, Moreno, Can or Henderson? Nope. Milner, Salah and Firmino. All supposedly attack minded players. Shocking. Matip and Gomez were just stood still on the penalty spot.

Ultimately, Lovren and Mignolet cost us today. They gifted Spurs a 2-0 lead which forced us to over commit. Then just to rub salt into the wounds, Mignolet let in a soft 3rd, and flapped at the 4th. Salah, Firmino, Coutinho and more surprisingly Chamberlain played well but unfortunately, Spurs left 6 players back at all times (because we gifted them a lead to defend) and Kane, Alli, Eriksen and Son was enough to take apart our stretched backline every time without any further support. You can't give teams of that quality a 2-0 head start.

Onwards and upwards. Got a much kinder run now up to Christmas. We need an 8-10 game winning run though or any title challenge hopes are gone (if not already) .

Moreno has been our consistent defender this season. Says it all about the state of affairs at the club. The likes of Burnley, Newcastle sit above us while two newly promoted clubs have a better GD than us. Where are all those fools saying we don't need a goal scorer? What have to our much fabled freely scoring forward line?
We huffed at puffed to a top4 finish without European competition last season, and people actually thought the team only needed a few finishing touches when the club is no better under Klopp (Mane and Salah aside) than it was under Brendan.

{Ed001's Note - what has a goal scorer got to do with anything? What kind of fool uses a defeat, where the team scored, to suggest the team needs a scorer? Idiotic comment. It was clear to anyone with a brain that the problems are in the defence, not the attack.}

MK, I'll go one better. Migs was responsible for the first, third and fourth goals last night. Karius was dropped for making two costly mistakes in 10 games where we were solid for the most time last season while Migs in addition to his countless errors this season and last, cost us THREE goals in ONE game YET Karius and even Ward, never play? That is on Klopp and all on him and I don't wanna hear that crap (not saying you said it) that Karius or Ward don't deserve a go from Klopp. No more! Karius and Ward are miles ahead of Migs, it's not even a joke anymore. If Migs is still playing come Sat vs Hedd then Klopp is to blame for any errors he makes. End of story.
