I've supported the reds for 50yrs but listening to klopp making excuses for coutinho all the time does my head in saying he was on a long flight and he's hardly trained and we play saturday we play Wednesday he needed 3.to 4 days training. he looked pretty fit to me training with Brazil and we all know he never had a back injury.

I agree. Its getting out of hand now. Coutinho's clearly fit and we rejected 130 million euros to keep him here. Just stop making excuses and throw him into the team now. Like it or not, we need him now.

Great player, maybe our best but it's old school treatment eh. You wanted to leave? Well you can warm the bench for a few matches. I think it's a mistake technically but the right decision overall. Shouldn't just waltz back into the team after his "great sadness" if I was playing football manager I would play him but if I was klopp I wouldn't.

He was never going to play on Saturday and he'll probably be back in the team tomorrow night, what more do you want? Of course Klopp is going to use his fitness as a reason, it's called being diplomatic.

I think we will steam roll them tonight. We are much much much better than we were last time we played seville. If moreno plays I fear for the safety of my TV. Don't get me wrong he has been really good so far this season but he just is a bit lax at the back and he threw the last game. I was surprised there wasn't an inquest! Joke.

We don't know what has been said btw Cou and Klopp or the background discussions that may have been had so I suggest people not read too much on what Klopp says in public about Cou and his availability.

In fairness, he looked very rough at the end of the match he played for Brazil and they don't play with nearly our intensity. He wasnt injured but he still barely trained for a month, and it's never a good idea to play someone you know you will absolutely have to take off at some point.

Nice to see an old time fan commenting here - much respect.
I'm a fan for 30 years myself.
I understand what you're saying, but as mentioned above; Klopp is attempting to be diplomatic or is possibly walking on eggshells on this subject.
He'll start tonight though I feel in CM but back to the LW position for the next few games if he starts in them.
Definitely feigned a back injury, certainly no denying that - technically he went on strike, very unprofessional but not a surprise these days.

I hope he plays tonight but for the moral of the team, I think it was the correct decision to leave him out on Saturday. I thought City were very good in Midfield and at their best in attack. With or without Couts, I personally don't think we'd have beaten City, for starters we just couldn't cope with K. De Brugne.
