Hey Eds. Just want your opinion. From Salah and Martins which would be your choice? Only seen YouTube clips of them so can't really make a judgement. Thanks in advance.

Ed02, I understand that it was game time guarantee that made him hesitant to join. With us now going for Salah, and then Martins, is Brandt really no longer considered?

{Ed002's Note - Brandt would be first choice - the others are similar to Mane - Brandt is a left winger.}

Brandt should believe in himself to make the move to a bigger club as he certainly has the ability, sadly he will no doubt end up at B. Munich shortly as most top Germans do.

He could easily end up staying at Leverkusen this season. There's a World Cup in 2018 which I assume makes it even more important for him to get regular football. A season of broken performances could easily jeopardise his place in the squad.

I can't fault the lad for wanting a guarantee of first team football.

He needs to remember though that we're not Utd or City, therefore there is little risk of not getting games, unless of course he is shabite at footie, in which his ego would be dented by the fact he simply isn't good enough.

As far as I'm concerned, old lemo jaw will give him a good go.

Good on him for not wanting to be a subbuteo bench player mercenary, and that is a good enough reason alone and mental attribute to push through the signing.

Funny thing is that this apparent washed out city, with all its scallies and shoulder spuds allows players to just be themselves.

If he performs and the Kop love him then end of (with the exception of Sakho of course) .

Hi Ed, why Brandt by a country mile?

Salah is a very good player and much more proven. The defence of your opinion is that Salah is a right winger like Mane, but surely you know that Mane can play on both sides of the pitch?

Getting Brandt would be nice, but Liverpool shouldn't stoop to offering him flimsy assurances, despite some levels the club has already stooped to.

Hi Ed002 do you believe we should sign him even if it means promising game time-surely it's a case you'll get your chances but like anyone if you play crap you get dropped. I was going to compare to Grujic but there would not be the same work permit issues for JB and requirements to play x games a year?

Honest question. What is wrong with playing a left footed Salah on the left wing? I could see him and right footed Mane switching wings frequently and causing defences serious problems.

Thanks for the reply Ed002. I understand why Brandt would be a better fit since he plays on the left side. The negotiations are getting frustrating I'm sure most would agree. I would like to see Douglas Costa, he seems more suited to the PL. Any chance at all of us going for him?
